We booked this online for a midweek short break and as a fusy person I am particular where I stay but this place was a little gem and we thoroughly enjoyed the place and owners. They were polite , friendly and knowledgable about anything you needed to know about traveling in the area and lake district.The breakfast was tasty and very enjoyable. would recommend and will definately return in the future.The rooms were immaculate,clean and comfortable. A little haven in the countryside.
all reviews » we spent three gloriousl nights , we had the best room in the house patio doors looking over green fields and water . Breakfast excellent ,cant fault it .The only advice i can offer guests is: when paul tells you about a twenty minute walk make sure you get the right directions otherwise it could take an hour and a half.Eddie. A warm welcome as we arrived. A beautiful setting and good location for visiting the Lake District. Delightful breakfast room overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside, a good well cooked breakfast along with homemade preserves. Clean and comfortable, good value for money. It's a lately renovated house (mill) with an extremely lovely interior. Everything looks brand new. The landlord is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Even though the house is next to a road, it's quiet during nighttime. In a good location and view from room really nice. Breakfast and home made jams very food too ! Only very minor thing was it would be good to have a packet of biscuits each in the room. Welcome refreshments very welcome and good too. My wife and I wanted to see Hawfinches at Seizerg Castle which can only be seen early morning. On this occasion we failed to see them, but will certainly use the accomodation again, for several days next time. A beautiful, well provided and peaceful oasis after our long trip. The owners were wonderful & went out of their way to help us, including advice on finding our way around. And the breakfasts were amazing!. Excellent place to stay, the welcome, the breakfasts, the cleanliness of the rooms is exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for the owners, would highly recommend. I cannot fault anything about Millers Beck and when I am in the area I shall use these again. You can sit and just watch the wildlife if you so wish and just chill. Very friendly welcome and the accommodation was very comfortable throughout, the bedrooms were nicely decorated to a high standard. A very relaxing location. Nothing we didn't like. Nothing. N/A. coffee - far too weak! and bedroom too small - nowhere to put cases. The beck at the back of the house was a bit noisy. Nothing. No car so we were kind of stuck.
