  We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the food was of very good quality. The all you can eat breakfast was suberb. A lovely setting overlooking the river. And very good value for money compared with other places that we looked at. Free car parking is a bonus too. Excellent leisure facilities, excellent bar, staff were fabulous, rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. I was on a work trip, but i'm seriously going back for another stay with the woman i love. Maybe even the wife.

  The staff were exceptional in every manner. Each one we spoke to were very polite and accomodating, especially when booking out as we were leaving at 6am the next morning and they prepared a fantastic breakfast which was delivered 30mins before we departed at 5:30am. The reception staff were very polite and helpful, the staff in the breakfast room... what people say » always had time for us, never rushed. - The room was excellent; clean, bed comfy, tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities, information about the area in a folder, room service brilliant, breakfast included was excellent and you could have as much as you liked.   The hotel is in an excellent location to see the Lake District. The only issue is the parking. The hotel does not own the parking lot so you must pay to use it. The lot is also rather small so you may have to park on the street and move your car by 9:00 in the morning or be ticketed. - The staff were very friendly and helpful on our arrival. Breakfasts are amazing - top quality produce, excellent presentation and lots of it! All the extra touches (complimentary toiletries and a huge variety of teas/coffee) in the rooms was an unexpected bonus. It was quite easy to park and only 5 minutes walk into town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

  We booked this online for a midweek short break and as a fusy person I am particular where I stay but this place was a little gem and we thoroughly enjoyed the place and owners. They were polite , friendly and knowledgable about anything you needed to know about traveling in the area and lake district.The breakfast was tasty and very enjoyable. wo... what people say » uld recommend and will definately return in the future.The rooms were immaculate,clean and comfortable. A little haven in the countryside. - we spent three gloriousl nights , we had the best room in the house patio doors looking over green fields and water . Breakfast excellent ,cant fault it .The only advice i can offer guests is: when paul tells you about a twenty minute walk make sure you get the right directions otherwise it could take an hour and a half.Eddie

  This is a tidy, clean and comfortable B&B with a very friendly and welcoming hostess. Breakfast offered nice variety compared to the standard B&B "full English" (I was able to forgo the beans and mushrooms and enjoy a delicious cheese omelette). The bed was comfy and the ensuite bathroom, though a bit small, was spotless and had a nice ... what people say » strong shower. Overall, a very nice place to stay and a good bargain. - We received the warmest of welcomes, room was beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished, very clean and exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast menu was one of the best we have ever had, all good! Although a fairly steep hill into the town on the way back we did it in a leisurely stroll and hardly noticed it. Would definitely recommend and if we return to Kendal Beech House would be my accommodation choice.
