We had an overnight stay in order to catch an early morning flight next day, It was convenient to the airport, very clean and comfortable. We did not have much contact with the staff, but when we did, they were helpful and polite.. What an absolute pleasure. There were no problems whatsoever and the use of the sports facilities were very welcome. If I could pay the rate of £75 I would stay more frequently.

The food was excellent, the staff very pleasant and accomodating. Very pleasant stay. The Very Nice Driver that took me to the airport in the mini bus. Convenience for airport. The bar staff were very efficient and friendly. (The apple crumble tart was delicious!) Sally on check in was very welcoming. Again all was okay.If anything the food was a little bit overpriced. the Restaurant available was a first class restaurant, however, there might be some people who would like to spend less money on their dinner. The prices are for European standards (price-quality relation) too high. Spending L 80 for the room for a night close to the airport is ok but spending L45,- for a dinner (2) w.out wine, desert, appetizer etc is not that compatible. Price of breakfast. I could not believe that I was charged 16.50 for two glasses of wine!!!!Its a bit much surely????? That was the only fault.... The rest of ourstay was lovely!!!!!!. In bathroom there was only one shampoo, one soap, one showel gel and one shower cap, yet it was a twin room and two people were staying in it. Guest room a long walk from reception- were all closer rooms full?. Quite expensive for an overnight stay. No lift.They did not have non-smoking room at that time. receptionist abrupt. Food price is excessive. chech in was much too slow. Yes, the absence of a lift which made it difficult to access rooms on the first floor with heavy luggage. This facility would be an obvious problem for disabled clients. Charging guests for the car park.The reservation was not there when I arrived. They had no record of the booking at all, but found me a room. Staff were helpful. Partying noise until 2.30 am. Thought that the meals in restaurant too expensive also £2.00 per personfor 2 min shuttle to airport . the swimming pool and sauna rather shabbyand not overly clean. Being quoted a price and charged £40 more. Our Thursday night price was £65 but on the Sunday when we had other guests arrive at the Hotel, it was £95 per night. Reception gave us some waffle about market demand. Well, we could have occupied a room 2-3 nights per week but not at these rates !. shabby, very obvious that it is a transit hotel.a little bit noicy floor, the others doors chirk, paper walls, expensive - bad performance ratio, without refrigerator, when we arrived heating was closed and room was calm. checking in and out is dramatically inefficient; the price of a continental brakfast and some other add-ons (a.o parking., tray charge) a "rip off.". Room not well cleaned between nights. Bed not properly made, shampoo not properly replenished and bin not emptied. Room was very shabby and definitely not a 4 star. Areas of hotel away from the public areas ie corridors to rooms etc were very worn and tired looking. Was extremely surprised to be charged £5 to park overnight in the car park as we were paying guests for an overnight stay before catching a flight from the airport.Food and drink prices. 1 glass of wine = £7.99!! - In general terms the food in the menu is expensive and of very poor quality. Puts you off going back there again really but I don't know how it compares with other hotels at the airport. Trouser press didn't work. Iron didn't work. Carpet was dirty. Bed linen looked like it had already been slept in.The question below. I would if someone was asking about a hotel local to the area we stayed for one night but not as a 'place to stay'. This is probably the most overpriced/expensive night I have had in any hotel in the world with regards to food and drink and I have stayed in many top of the tree hotels. Give you an example you will struggle to eat a 2 course meal and have a couple of pints in the bar for under £30, and the standard of food and portions were very poor. Neither myself or any of my employees will ever go back!. Value for money was a big issue £14.95 for beakfast hard to justify for selection available. We had an early departure on the first night was not informed of parking procedure at check in nor were there any signs visible to the naked eye had to pay £14.00 to leave the car park. On arrival our bathroom light was hanging by the wire head height. The location near Sherwood forest tells all.
