Stayed here as a stop-over for an early flight to East Midlands Airport. Room was small (as described) but adequate and breakfast was very good.Convenient to airport, for overnight stay. Very pleasant staff. Owners/staff were very friendly and welcoming, wonderful breakfast with home made bread and home grown honey comb. Owners have only been at the hotel a few weeks and will be making inprovements. The owners were very friendly and helpful.Rather awkward to get to bathroom and w.c. No shampoo. Our room a double/en suite was very small and in our opinion should have been a single/en suite (bathroom was very tiny too, almost in a cupboard). No hooks or towel rail in the bathroom. No bar, poor parking.

This guest house is located in Castle Donington, close to: Donington Park Motor Race Circuit, East Midlands Airport, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor Park and the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierpoint.
The guest house is well placed to explore the East Midlands scenic villages, as well as the famous Lace Market and castle in Nottingham City. Why not stroll in Sherwood Forest and imagine the Merry Men, Maid Marion and Robin Hood.
Leicestershire has many fascinating places to discover and is also in the heart of the new and growing treasure, the National Forest. Try not to leave before sampling the world famous Melton Mowbray pork pies and of course Leicestershire Blue Stilton cheese.

There is a 24/7 bus service to and from the East Midlands Airport with a stop just 350 m from the guest house's door. This service leaves on the hour and half hour.
