Attention to detail was incredible. Parking no problem, food excellent and personal choices no problem. Kilburn supplied everything a girl could need for an overnight stay. They even upgraded me with my own ensuite so I didn't have to be seen in a dressing gown, which they even provide! Coffee and cake bar on arrival; bags carried up the stairs. All the other guests said 'good morning'. A good glass of red wine and conversation (if wanted), provided in the bar. Local knowledge excellent. K

Peter & Denise were a friendly & welcoming couple. The breakfasts good and they were willing to accommodate what you wanted. A nice touch of specialised marmalades available. Bed was really comfy. Peter and Denise were very friendly and made us feel welcome in their accommodation. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Peter was very kind and let us leave the car for the day and gave advise about our route home. Breakfast was lovely, a wide selection of cereal, cooked breakfast and fruits. Would highly recommend ;-)

This is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in and I travel a lot!
Some country hotels are full of old furniture and have a really musty smell and dank feel to them. I'm told it's rustic. This hotel is not like that at all. It's clean, bright and airy and very comfortable.

We really liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and staff. The meals we had were excellent. We particularly liked the on site Bistro which served up good, value for money meals. The hotel was set in lovely grounds and was handy to get to the cliff top walks and set in a very pleasant village.

I booked the super suite with a large bed for me and my wife, It was a valentine weekend. We stopped in the Berlington suite which was on the top floor. The hotel looks slightly dated from the outside and the hallways, BUT when we got to our room.....WOW the suite was amazing,clean,light and modern. The staff were helpful and polite. The views

The staff were fabulous, very welcoming and we enjoyed the homely and friendly atmosphere this created. We could understand why guests returned to the Expanse year after year. It was also great to see so many extended family groups in the hotel.
The location is excellent. Fabulous sea view.

I liked the hotel staff. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Most of all, the hotel is well situated and accessable to the downtown area and the shopping. Also, I found the breakfast service was very good and we were served very quickly. All in all.......a great time!! - Very friendly staff as well as very accomodating to any questions.
