Location: 15 minute walk to Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Istanbul University. 5 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, and the tramway. We didn't want to be situated in a heavily developed city area. Old City is beautiful, and authentically Turkish. The area is full of small shops and restaurants, cobblestone narrow roads that were very steep and fun to walk up every morning. all reviews » I was really ejnoyed that I have stayed in Sayeban hotel. Everything was excellent, especially reception staff. The location of this hotel is really comfy, you can reach Grand Bazar, Aya Sofia, Bazilika Cistern, whatever what is in that direction. The tram station Beayzit is closest station to the hotel. There are a lot of cafe's, restaraunts and markets around the hotel's place. The room was clean, the bed was double, sea view from the window, bath was ok. 2-way transfer from/to Ataturk airp. The staff was really friendly on arrival, making sure all of our questions were answered and provided information on the area. We had an amazing view of the ocean from the 5th floor. The breakfast was a gourmet feast of Turkish foods, and it was served on the rooftop terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel is close to the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market, making shopping very easy. It's also easy to take the tram to the Port if you need to stay before a cruise. When we left, the staff brought . Everything!! Fantastic little hotel, centrally located, with excellent housekeeping. The staff was super helpful, especially Reservation Manager, Yavuz who spent about 15 min with us after we arrived explaining practical info re sightseeing, what is worth doing and seeing in Istanbul, how to travel around, ect.. He even gave us istanbulkart for public transport that we could top up and use for the duration of our stay. Thank you Yavuz :) and apologies for not returning it to you. We only c. Awesome location and value for money. There is a beautiful view from terrace of the Sea of Marmara as well as the surrounding city. The room was very comfortable with ability to control the temperature. Complete breakfast offering will satisfy the hunger of travelers from all around the world. If you pay in cash, they'll make you also a discount. They offer a one way airport transfer from Ataturk airport for bookings over 4 nights only if you book directly on their website. Amazing breakfast on terrace. We really loved the ambience there and I think it's a great choice in the old city. The second time I stayed this hotel. Staff is great, helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Close to all historical attractions, if you go down and a bit right - a great area of the restaurants. The same near Marmara ( 5-7 min by walk). Breakfast is good and various and it's served on the roof terrace with such a great view. Again I just can recommend this place for stay. And hope to be back myself. Great location, always felt safe and could walk to the major attractions (though be prepared to walk up the big hill). We were very happy with our stay and would gladly recommend to others. Our first floor room was a bit loud due to entrance and exiting from hotel on the floor below, also first floor rooms can negatively effected by the street lighting, however the blinds nearly completely resolved this issue. The steep hill caused a little problem and my mom could'nt make it. So pay attention to that before choosing the hotel. Other than the hill, everything else was wonderful. The steep climb of the road that we need to take to get to the Grand Bazaar. Well to a fit peoples it wont matter much thou!. The hill is daunting but you can work your way around it by going either left or right. You still must go up but at a reduced grade. The cobblestones while picturesque are difficult to navigate going down. you should be an experienced traveler to find the hotel on your own :) take a cab if you do not have in plans to spend couple of hours somewhere in the hotel neighborhood))) maybe could be better conditioned but we were too tired to take it as a problem) so take care and have a nice time in Istanbul. it is a nice place and worth staying at. The area is a shoe factory area. It is not a pretty street. The street is very steep, you get use to it but it is not pleasant. Yes - there is a steep hill but Istanbul is a city of hills!. 1. Booked non-smoking room, but room smelled of smoke and cigarette found in toilet 2. Air conditioner functions, but does not actually cool the room 3. Door handle broke the first day 4. Due to the inconvenience of #1 above, a staff member reduced our total bill by only 6 euros. Breakfast is not poor, but same every day - thanks God, it was the only disadvantages of the hotel. Staff forgot to provide some items after cleaning, such as a bath mat. The little fridge in the room was a bit noisy, but we were so tired that in the end it didnt matter... The neighborhood at night is only thing we didn't like. Hotel is situated in very busy and not very clean neighborough.It was very noisy from close mosque. The only problem is that the hotel is situated on a steep road and if you are not used to climbing hills it will be difficult at the beginning. the hotel located on downhill , rooms are small. You have to get out of your bed to switch off the light. No lamps on bedside table. the room we stayed could have been a little bigger. a little noisy, steep road. Pretty noisy. The doors were moving when someone closed another door outside. Does not have 4 stars, considering the room size and the furniture and doors quality.
