Pleasantly was surprised, in reality better than the photo hotel. Very quiet place to Metro 3 min walk. The rooms fresh repair. In Istanbul am often stayed for 2 days. The staff is polite. While this is the best hotel price and quality that I have found. Thought it was good value for my money. Room was secure and clean. Great to have a safe in your room to store valuables. The breakfast was Delicious.Yes overall im pleased I stayed at the Star Hotel.

The location is good, staff were friendly all though only staff at reception spoke english,well decorated rooms. This hotel the best one for good location only, if you have another purposes then I dont advise to stay their. The Location was perfect 2 min from istiklal street, 5 min from Taksim Square. Thought the Men on the reception could have been a bit more welcoming and friendlier when we arrived. Nothing all were amazing. There was always cigarette smoke in the room, coming from the air duct. Our neighbour was an old lady, who seemed like staying permanently at the hotel and she made too much noise. Also, the Wi-fi did not work. Wi fi Service was very bad in the rooms and most of the hotel areas. They didnt clean the room on a daily bases, during all our stay they didnt change the bed sheets. This time reception stuff was so far away being kind. I dont like the spa center , i was there for five night and every day i ask to enter thr pool and he told me pool is not working. Nothing. Cleaning was poor, we had to complain to get our room cleaned. The Room View was very bad, no fresh air , no privacy in sound through rooms (not isolated), Cleaning the room was on daily basis but was not that perfect process. When we arrived, we found dirty sheets on a bed, but staff showed to us other two rooms to choose and it was ok. Room was good but not very comfortable due not much fresh air (it's not possible to open a window) and mechanic noise outside. Also there is no iron room to do it byself, only expensive service like 6 euro for one skirt. And when you try to use your own iron electricity switch off in the room. They didn't clean room well. The reception was strange, we entered another hotel name? Our room was close to the kitchen/breakfast room and very early in the morning we couldn't sleep anymore due to the noise. Fresh orange juice is sold for 8 euro per glass!. No real coffee at breakfast! Nescafe is a surogate coffee, and not even worthy to be called coffee!!! Do not confuse coffee with Nescafe!!. Pool always off order Staff speaking turkish for tourist don't understand. There is only one glass for mouthwash/drinking. We asked for one more but failed. Funniest thing is that the maid put/stand our toothbrushes on a small empty paper box... The pool was out of order we were given the wrong rooms. People at the reception were not very helpful concerning the transportation and other general information.We were 4 people in the room and everyday they clean our room they give as towels only for 2! For 3 days every morning and evening I asked them the same thing. الغرف صغيره الخدمة سيئة جداً .. الاستقبال سيء ... والمسبح مغلق دائماً وباقي المرافق غير مجانيه مثل الجيكوزي والساونا والحمام وكذلك أسعارهم ٢٥ يورو لكل واحد لاستخدام مره واحده للشخص. باختصار الفندق جداً سيء ..
