The location is actually perfect. If it wasn't for the construction in front of the apartment, and the tractor blocking the other walk path the first few days of our stay, we wouldn't have to walk too much up n downhill. As the other walk path (leading upwards instead of downwards) gets us directly into Istiklal Avenue where all the shoppings are and access to Taksim Square. (Abt 15-20 minutes walk) We did enjoy the last 2 days (we were there for 5days) when we finally figured out the shorter w.
all reviews » We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chiconomy Suites. Mehmet is extremely professional, accommodating to guests, and very prompt in getting back to emails. The hotel transfer from Sabiha was prompt and reasonably priced for a family of four (50 euro). The location is very convenient (walking distance) to Taksim, Istiqlal St., Galata Tower. Finally, the apartment was clean and the interior furnishings new and attractive. We will be coming back!. For an architect this place is ideal: great design, very spacious, extremely clean, in the middle of an area with the best art galleries such as Arter and Salt Beyoglu, the ateliers, boutiques and little restaurants of Tünel-Karaköy and Cihangir-Cukurcuma, at walking distance from the museum Istanbul modern and the Galata tower. The owner is available at any time and for any kind of question. This hotel is so stylish and luxurious with fully facilities. Mehmet was so helpful and kind when he bought us some food on the day we stucked in the hotel because of the protest. Totally perfect. Great little apartment, right in the middle of every thing. Tip; get the trams and the river boats if you can. Taxi is very cheap but you can walk faster - as the traffic is terrible. Pefect location. Being in the middle of an exciting area makes it that this place is not the most quiet you can imagine. But if you want to sleep the whole day, better go to the country side. We were warned in advance that there was a construction going on near the hotel but it doesn't matter. We can cope with it. The building work in front behind and to the side, but once that is all finished, peaceful considering Istemelik Street is so close by. Construction of neighbouring building. At 8.00 the construction workers wake you up, even on saturday and sunday!. There are 2 under construction building just next to it and they sometimes works at night. Earplugs mandatory. There is construction work on 3 sides of the apartment. We woke up early every morning because of the noise. Including saturday and sunday!. There was some construction going on next door during the days we were there. Noisy with construction, no view.
