Our room was spacious and clean and filled with light. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. Hotel location was close to the center of town - an easy walk, The hotel staff was extraordinary and helpful way beyond any expectations. My husband and I wish every hotel in Europe was as wonderful as the Rex. Highly recommended!

  I absolutely love how this hotels is run. There is no front desk, simply a key box where you enter a code from the booking to get in. The only problem is that this isn't made extremely clear by anyone before hand; we found out from a couple fellow guests or it might of take us longer to get in. - For Zürich, very cheap, close to communications ... what people say » and very quiet. The ladies working in the restaurant are very friendly and up for a chat. Since they are directly connected to the hotel, they are the ones to ask questions since the hotel has no reception. Easy check-in and -out procedure.

  Ambience, cleaniness, friendliness of staff - Its location was excellent and although garage parking was available at a cost the staff assisted by moving our car into free street parking and we had no hassles at all.

  The welcome was perfect, we arrived by car and parked as close to the hotel as possible - after checking in at reception I was escorted to the underground parking garage and took my car down in a lift to the secure parking area. We asked for extra pillows and got them immedia - The rooms in the Alexander had been done to a very good standard for a small hotel. The breakfast room was small but very clean, the food was lovely with lots of selection and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for a the major sites of the city and was right in the heart of a lively area with numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. It was also only a ten minute walk from the station and transportation links. Overall i would definitely recommend this hote

Situated perfectly (7 mins on tram to the Hauptbahnhof (sp?) main station) and within 200 metres of a supermarket. Kitchenette was perfect for cooking breakfast/lunch so as to avoid very expensive meals out too often. Bathroom spotless with very good shower and fantastic, new whirlpool bath which fit two people no problem.
