Charming hotel in the most beautiful street of Zürich. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, bierhouses and many more attractions in a few meters around. Adler kept a consistent quality since many years. I felt like home during my stay... I like the staff, they were very helpful, the room was very nice and clean. The breakfast offered a variety of options and everything was delicious.

It was perfect - a short walk to the train which worked really well for us. location, the intelligent and tasty modernization of the hotel. Great central location in old town. The location was great.The hotel is charming. Exactly what you'd expect from a European hotel. The large windows that open up onto courtyard's or the square are perfect. The staff were so friendly even when we asked for 5 extra pillows ( only 2 people in the room ) however when we came back from dinner the pillows were all fluffed on the bed. Heavenly... With a perfect location in oldtown by the river and lake. It was a warm, cosy hotel in an excellent location. I advised the hotel that we were not arriving in zrh until 2100. Onarrival at the hotel our 3 triple rooms were not available, however thehotel did offer a dblb and sglb at not extra cost. Excellent service.Although advertised as a smoke-free hotel, it is not the case. Smoking is allowed in all the passages and anyone intollerent to tabacco and cigarette smoke should rather opt for another hotel. The hotel does not have double glass windows and the noice in the surrounding area could keep you awake till the early morning hours. See-through glass door to washroom. Strange smell near/in restaurant area. Maybe the Glass Bathroom door. Too much sound from the street. THe smell from the resturant at nighttime. The cleaners were a bit early - knocking on my door before I was out of bed (before breakfast!).As everything in Zurich it's rather expensive. Small bathroom, even in a suite!. Room could have been bigger. The reception staff exept for Mrs. Winni were horible, all the hotel suffers from the smells of the restaurant. noisiness of niebouring restuarants gusits espicialy at night and noise of car catering services at early morning...its out of the hotel control. (1) Very noisy (could only sleep with the windows closed, which was too hot) (2) The cleaning ladies disposed of a bottle that was not in the dust bin.Although it was confirmed that the hotel is smoke-free, it is definitely not the case. The hotel is not suitable to anyone intollerent to tobacco and cigarette smoke. The hotel does not have double glass windows, allowing the noice from the street to be a disturbance, especially at night (continuing till the early morning hours). The mini-bar ( fridge ) in the room had a terrible smell.The hotel’s booking system or something didn’t seem working, so I was given a wrong room key that someone’s already in. And about 3 other people entered my room after I got a right one. That was really annoying. When we arrived at night to check in we were told that we did not have the room because of some problems with our credit card. Our credit card was perfectly valid. We got our room only after we put our foot down and refused to move from there. We had requested a family room and the bed given to our kids was a sofa bed which was in a very bad condition.

From the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) take tram no. 4 in the direction of Seefeld and exit at Rudolf Brun Brücke.

By car you are able to drive to the Hotel and unload your luggage. Pass the Zährungerplatz and follow the hotel signs through Brunngasse to Hirschenplatz.
