We were upgraded from a room to a whole apartment with three bedrooms, kitchen ,dining and balcony and a view to die for. The hotel was practically empty so they gave us the upgrade for the same price. It was fantastic since the first day was rainy and we stayed in the room. We walked every where from the hotel. Our last night was spent sitting on our balcony, drinking wine seeing the sunset. all reviews »
Clean, large, modern room. Very comfortable bedding. Convenient to the old city area yet not in a crowded or loud area. Free wifi that worked well.Friendly and helpful staff. The kind people, . ALL. Staff helpfulness, thoughtfully-created atmosphere, availability of internet and laundry, location within walking distance of historic area and train, non-smoking rooms.It was close to the city centre.
The staff were very good in storing baby food for us in the fridge. The excellent view just outside the window...worth watching them the whole day and hence, Tourist hotel is worth money it costs. :). This will be a short walk of some 12 minutes. After leaving the train station, walk to the river and follow it downriver on the left bank until you get to the "Jesuiten" church. After another 150 m, cross the wooden bridge, Spreuerbrücke. The hotel is located another 50 m downstream at St.Karliquai 12.
By bus from the train station:
Take Nr. 9 in front of the train station to Brüggligasse stop (immediately after crossing the river). The hotel is 50 m upriver.
