That they remembered which coffee I liked for breakfast! Also, very convenient location for sightseeing, being right in the centre of the old town.The spacious family room and the hotel's central location.Location was excellant. Gps could only get us near hotel, then we found it on foot because we did not realize that as a hotel guest that we could drive in the pedestrian zone. Front desk girl was excellant. The auto valet service was worth every cent. Included breakfast was one of the best that we had on our trip to Europe.

Would have preferred to have had Wifi access rather than a public computer.Some heavy cigarette smoke in the hallways, but it did not infiltrate our rooms.The breakfast wasn't that good. sliced meats, boiled eggs and some breads and cheese. I would have liked some fresh fruits and vegetable choices. May not suit light sleepers as a bit noisy from 7am due to workmen outside and fountain splashing all night.a lot of noise from the street -It was not easy to sleep. Room: 8 sqm, smelled terrible,the hotel web page photos are not real, we paid parking at the hotel but we found a 30€ fine since the recepcionist made a mistake and one evening we came back and the room was not clean, the excuse was they found the "Do not disturb" sign on the door (not true). La habitación tenía 8 m2, las fotos de web del hotel son falsas, pagamos parking y nos pusieron una multa.

Travelling information

By Car (from Zurich):
- Take the motorway for Lucerne and follow the green signs for the city.
- Pass through the towns of Adliswil, Langnau and Sihlbrugg and keep going following directions for Lucerne.
- Take the exit marked Luzern Zentrum and go into the right hand lane after exiting the tunnel.
- Turn right (sign says Gütsch) and stay in the right lane.
- At the traffic lights turn right and drive across the bridge marked Geissmattbrücke.
- Just after the bridge turn right and drive through a small tower which is built across the road (St. Karlistrasse).
- Drive along the river until the wooden bridge (left curve in the road, wooden bridge on the right).
- At the wooden bridge turn right (look for brown hotel signs) and you will come to a square with many parked cars (Mühlenplatz). Drive across the square.
- Ignore the no entry signs (you are allowed to drive in as hotel guests) and turn right immediately after the square.
- Take the second road on the left and then onto the Weinmarkt. The Best Western Hotel Krone is right next to the fountain.
