Built in 1884, Hotel Victoria in Lugano-Paradiso stands right on the shore of Lake Lugano and offers panoramic views over the bay and of Mount Bre. All rooms were completely renovated in 2015 and come with a minibar, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi. There are 2 reasonably-priced restaurants/pizzerias on site, offering views of the lake and of the palm tree-lined avenue in front of Hotel Victoria. During summer you can dine outside on the charming terrace. The well-known Dancing Club Cecil is also located on site and offers live music on weekends. It is completely soundproofed. A short walk away, you can find a bank, a hairdresser, a public swimming pool and the funicular up the San Salvatore Mountain. Public parking on the roads is free of charge in the evenings and during the night. A public car park is available for a fee in the immediate vicinity.

Excellent location next to center of city near train. Quiet, quaint "victorian" style, large rooms, great bathrooms, super clean. Decor "old style", darling with character! Good breakfast with a great restaurant as well. This one's very special!!!. location room breakfast. The room was beautifully designed with the view of the lake. We really enjoyed the view and having breakfast on the balcony. The location was good, within walking distance of town. We sat in the restaurant in the evening having drinks and watching the Olympics. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good for a continental style. We plan on staying again.

The hotel is quite dated (and a little funky) in its decor, and looks more like a 2 star hotel, but is nevertheless very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities, including cable tv, hairdryers, in room safe, mini bar, room service. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurants were nice. restaurant very good. good. Location, close to lake, not too difficult to get to train. location is close to the center, paranomic view. Lake view. Setting in Lugano. Very nice location. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. However, seems she was the only good staff among the front desk. The view from the balcony is fabulous.Definately request no room above disco, that was a great tip for us!. The shower head in our room was broke off so tricky showering and bathing at the same time.The shower was great, but because there is only a half door on the opposite end from the shower head, the bathroom gets soaked. the pillow was too soft. could not sleep very well.no. There is no internet available in the rooms. The staff was not very service oriented.difficult to find on arrival at lugano. Noise due to construction across the street. In the morning nobody was at the desk when I needed to check out. Gloomy feeling very dark. The hotel is tired!. Must be refurbished immediately. When i was in the toilette a man entered to my room and he was weird. He said im controlling. but what? weird.We have asked for a wake up call but nobody called us. We were almost missed our train to the next destination and no time to have breakfast on that morning. Very upset. The night club was empty and seedy. The music played until 5 am even when empty.the bath was 3/4 size and therefore too small to bathe in and the shower was hand held therefore too difficult to wash and condition hair without getting everything else in the bath room soaking wet.the decor was dated and tasteless. There was only one plug in our room and the fridge was plugged into that. Noisy.The Hotel was creepy. Distasteful decor in the halls. Very dark. No parking.
