Hotel is lovely. Very old period hotel with sweeping staircase and exposed beams. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was pretty basic. No toilet ( had to go down corridor ) but I knew this in advance. The hotel is near the main station. Little tip. Don't be fooled by the map displayed on here. It shows a Train symbol right next to the hotel. That's not the main station at all. It's a tram stop behind the hotel. The breakfast is good and the prices are pretty compa.
all reviews » We stayed at the hotel for one night so that we could catch the Bernina Express to Tirano. The room felt very spacious as did the hotel and the staff were very helpful. It was a lovely building in a very nice part of the town. Breakfast was fine. The railway station is roughly five minutes walk away and the journey from Zurich by train was very nice. This is a charming inn in the old part of town with some very pleasant walks nearby as well as being at the start of the Bernina Express train route. I had no problem with the stairs and did not find it at all smokey but on the second night a wedding reception on the floor below kept me awake until 4am! The food was excellent. The gorgeous dining and breakfast rooms, the food, the friendliness of staff, the coffee spot for guests, the outlook to mountains, rooftops, and a spire with clock from our attic room, communication from staff re our room preference. Being in the cobbled streets of the old town with so much to explore nearby. Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten has absolutely charming character. The building and interior has so much charm which makes it the perfect place to stay to explore this equally as charming village. Would go back in a heartbeat. Also very good value for money. The hotel was a 5 to 7 minute walk to the train station. There was a bar/restaurant in the hotel. It does not have a lift, quite a challenge with suitcase just to get to reception. Whilst the staff offered to help, it was still a struggle, especially having to go up 2 more flights to the room. Not for all (especially not for fat and lazy) people - no lift (because of the very old building) and tiny bathroom. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. When you walk down the stairs or when you enter the hotel, the smoke smell from the bar put us off and that was the only thing we found VERY unpleasant because we are not smokers. No lift because it is a heritage building. Didn't bother us but should be kept in mind for others. The rooms are on the small side and it can be a bit noisy but that is nothing major. Internet kept dropping out and people need to be aware there is no lift. Not a problem for us but we did see several guests struggling with luggage. The staff will help however. The smoke from the bar wafted through to our room. Non smoking hotel, but strong smell of smoke coming from downstairs bar drifting up stairwell to rooms was strong. High price compared to nicer hotels in Chur. Bed I slept in creaked and kept me awake all night. Lots of stairs to go up to get to the bedrooms although we did know this when we booked. passing the fumoir on the way in - if you are a. non smoker the smell is strong. Toilet was located down the corridor. Quite basic and not fancy, but clean and comfortable. No toilet in room but I knew that before I arrived. Nothing. Unfortunately no lifts and its has 3 levels. Breaky fair but normal. That guests are able to smoke within the hotel, albeit a specially designated room but being a non smoker the intensity still bothered me. No lift !. small guest room. We followed gps and got into tight spot with the car. We should have gone to parking garage first and walked. Needs a/c.
