  I really thought this hotel was excellent, the roof top bar was awesome, only ate at the hotel for breakfast and room service , but it was great, the staff had no problem making special request breakfast for me each day, when i go back to Barcelona this is where I will stay, and I would highly recommend it - Fabulous stay, hotel staff couldn't have... what people say » been more courteous andhelpful.   A modern hotel in a fairly quiet residential area on the outskirts of the city. 10 - 15 minute walk from the beach - we didn't see one tacky tourist shop in the area - but an exellent shopping mall with supermarket and restaurants only a 3 minute walk away. Bar area and evening meals of excellent quality (we didn't eat - The reception waited for us till 3 am because our flight was delayed and we were given a warm friendly welcome even at that early hour. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had really good curtains that blocked out light completely for us to sleep late into the next morning. The bed was comfortable and the decor was neutral, which we liked. Hot water, air conditioning and the television were perfect and we could even open the windows to get fresh air when needed.   The hotel is excellent. It has a prepared and kind staff. Its location was excellent for us because we were attending a conference in ccib. The beaches are near there and we just walk to them. The hotel is close to a metro station (it is easy to go to the town). We certainly would wish to go back to the Diagonal Zero Hotel and rec - This hotel is in a good location for access to the Grand Prix circuit - on the outskirts of Barcelona, with easy access via metro to the centre and a walk across the road to a decent beach. Parking is good in the underground car park. The hotel is modern and reasonably well equipped - the rooms (lighting, heating) are 'run' by a software interface screen in each room. Our Exec room was large enough and well designed. The bar Tapas was pretty good too. The staff were friendly and helpful.
