    We really enjoyed our stay at Basse Provence. It is a beautiful house nestled amongst the vineyards and with a great view of the mountains. We felt very welcome there and the accomodation was clean and comfortable and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating and made sure we felt at home. Overall a superb experience and I... what people say » would recommend it to anyone. - We had a fantastic stay at Basse Provence. The location is beautiful, surrounded by the winelands and the mountains and the accommodation itself was wonderful. Our room was spacious and under the thatched roof and the staff were very helpful. This was our favourite place to stay whilst we were in South Africa and we would thoroughly recommend it!

    My boyfriend and I spent two night here and found it to be easily accessible to all areas of interest as well as the downtown area. Staff was friendly and host was informative and friendly. Wonderful treat to take a swim and wi-fi access was great. Breakfast in the morning was top notch, room was clean and fully equipped for tea, coffee as well ... what people say » as refrigerator and microwave. The welcome Sherry was a wonderful treat after the long drive from Cape Town. I would recommend this to anyone looking - Earthbound B&B was an amazing place to stay. We were greeted with a warm welcome and made to feel as though we were at home. The room was very tastefully furnished, very spacey and extremely comfortable. A lovely and very tasty breakfast was served in a basket right to our room. Wish we could come back in the summer to enjoy the pool and all the awesome outdoor space. One of the best stays on our whole journey. Highly recommended!!

    The staff were so kind and welcoming. We were treated like a member of the family and it felt very homely. The surroundings were so beautiful and if we needed the city, it was only a taxi journey away. - Amazing view from our room balcony as well as the dining area.     The reception on our arrival was friendly and helpful. Over the last four years we have stayed at several B&Bs, Hotels/Guest Houses in South Africa and the De Hoek rates as one of our best and most enjoyable places. The room was clean and comfortable, well furnished and with a superb bathroom. It had good air conditioning, tv and WiFi. Check-in was incredibly efficient -- we were in our room within about 45 seconds. The location in downtown Stellenbosch is fantastic -- across the street from a beautiful church and just one block from dozens of cafes and restaurants. And, of course, it's convenient to tons of wineries. Breakfast was served promptly, was delicious, and included everything one could want. This is a great guest house.

    We stayed in the Twin Room with Sea View. Every evening you have a lovely sunset you can view from a spacious balcony. The room itself is big enough. There's a ceiling fan which we didn't use as the outside temperature was pleasant. The bathroom is spacious, with a bath and a separate big shower.
