The whole experience from the welcome at the gate followed by a cold
beer and suggestions for eating and excursions to the checkout
arrangements that included the opportunity to shower and change before
heading off to the airport was great. All these little touches made for
a very relaxing stay at the end of almost a month toruing South Africa.
We stayed in the Pool Room with its own outside sitting area. Everything in the room was comortable with a big bed and hot and powerful shower. Breakf

Ambiance, character, history, elegance, outstanding breakfast buffet
including magnificent frittata selection, also great salade nicoise for
lunch, lovely pools and gardens and flowers. Afternoon tea is obviously
a high point of this hotel - although rather weird to see some people
partaking of this mid-morning! -

Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.
