We stayed in the Penthouse Suite for 3 nights. The stunning view from our windows and balcony were spectacular and encompassed Table Mountain behind and the bay in front. The suite was comfortable and clean, with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge which was very useful for wine/water. The rooms also had air conditioning for those very hot days/nights. All these little touches made for a very relaxing stay at the end of almost a month toruing South Africa. We stayed in the Pool Room with its own outside sitting area. Everything in the room was comortable with a big bed and hot and powerful shower. Breakf. After two weeks in SA I wanted to spend my last night somewhere nice... and I made just the right choice! A quiet spot with a great view, right next to the heart of Camps Bay without being in the middle of the crowd. Excellent restaurants and the beach within walking distance, a very friendly host giving just the right suggestions, and a wonderful breakfast. Beautifully appointed, extremely hospitable this was truly a home away from home. We had brilliant sea views from our room and being well located we were walking distance from some great culinary experiences and with the kind help of everyone at Bay Atlantic we were able to navigate our way through town on our excursions. The guest house is situated on quite a steep hill (hence the spectacular view over the bay), so you need to be able to climb it. So not really a problem as Camps Bay seems safer than other parts of South Africa. Initial room was a bit on the small side (with no view) for the price. Nothing. Up to 4 dogs around the place; "Garden Suite" not a fair description for an area beIow garden level with limited natural light. A smell of old water in the bathroom. Nothing :).

Travelling information

From Cape Town International Airport: Take the N2 motorway towards Cape Town (approx. 15 mins). When you reach Cape Town, keep the Mountain on your left-hand side and you will pass Groote Schuur Hospital on the right. Keep in the right-hand lane and take the Eastern Boulevard fork and follow it right around past the city on your left and Table Bay on your right, keeping in the middle lane. You will eventually come to a large junction, with traffic lights (Coen Steytler to the left and the Waterfront to the right). Proceed through numerous sets of traffic lights staying on Buitengracht Street which then becomes Kloof Nek Road, all the way up and over the mountain and down Camps Bay Drive to the beachfront. Turn right at the Traffic Lights and proceed along Victoria Road with the beach on your left and after +/- 500 m you shall see our brown accommodation sign on the right directing you to turn into Argyle Road and then immediately left into Berkley Road.
