All the staff went beyond the scope of their practice! My sister and I would like to personally give thanks to one of the service drivers - his name is SAM - he picked us up from the airport at 6:30 AM (he was about to finish his night shift - we were his last customer). Unfortunately, it was the same day when typhoon Maring was at her finest. From the airport, Sam attempted (many, MANY times) to bring us to the hotel, but to no avail. ALL the major roads were flooded - cars, vans, even trucks.
all reviews » I have stayed three times in this hotel which reflects all the requirements of the comfort of the tourist, they have friendly staff and good location (very close of 3 malls and many options of restaurants. Special thanks for Mr. Alex form concierge services, also the windfall welcom from (check In) employee Ms. Leslie (she gives me good advice regarding the best resorts and island in Philippines ...Borocay & Palawan with she’s experience & advice. Also the Professional Update & fol. Love the location and that the staff was very helpful. The staff was attentive to my request and they responded to my e-mails in a timely manner. Everything was organized except that it was a bit chaotic at check-in since they were fully booked. I was able to check-in early but while waiting they provided us with options on how to start off our day. The location was attached to the Glorietta mall which allowed you to be unmindful of the weather outside since all of Ayala Center was connecte. very nice new Hotel in Makati just a few minutes walk from the shopping malls and business district. Having stayed at the Holiday Inn Manila Galleria previously I wanted to compare and I was not disappointed. As always, its the staff that make any enterprise great, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly here. I felt very welcome and well taken care of. Keep up the good work! I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again in the future and recommend to friends. The smile on the faces of all the staff. They were professional and friendly. Hotel is well equipped. The executive lounge is handy especialy that I had several meetings. Furthermore as a solo traveller I could meet other persons in same condition. Hotel is very well located with direct access to the shopping center. I used to stay at the Sofitel Hotel in Roxas Blvd. During this visit I had back to back scheduled meetings so time was of the essence. I made the best option when I chose the Holiday Inn, Makati. The staff was excellent, room was great and my meetings were remarkably successful. My team and I will use this facility from hereon in. Love your work, Holiday Inn!. Really friendly staff , lovely big clean room, felt very looked after here. Just a short stroll to the Greenbelt shopping area and next door to the Glorietta mall. So many shops! The food in green belt is awesome too, especially the Filipino restaurants , yum! Had a great two days in Manila but that was enough . The hotel is amazing !. Location is perfect only 5 minutes (even less) walking and you have lots of restaurants and shopping areas. All staff very kindly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean, USB connection for TV and iPod sound system (dock) available. For sure I will return to this hotel in my next visit to Makati City. Great location close to all amenities ! The reception staff were very efficient on our check in. The hotel is newly opened, so everything is still in fabulous condition. The pool and bar on the rooftop is great for an evening drink and cool down. We will return and recommend to our family and friends!. Centrally located, just go down to the ground level and you will be in Glorrietta mall with high to medium range shopping experience, and good restaurants abound just a short walking distance from the hotel. I loved my stay at this hotel. The location with the Glorietta complex is just fantastic. Restaurants, Cinema, Shopping etc. its all there. Its also centrally located with the city itself, and truly walkable distances from Greenbelt, SM and Landmark. Just brilliant!. The hotel staff were wonderful. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Loved the breakfast buffet selection of local dishes. The Hotel is new and there were a few little things being sorted out, for example in the Oz bar the draft beer is on the way etc.. but I cannot fault the hotel in anyway. Absolutely nothing. Just for critic purpose I think that hotel rates in Manila should be a bit cheaper and the government taxes are very high (but I guess this government is doing good as I saw tremendous improvments since my last trip in 2006). Otherwise, all great!!!. Prices for room service (food) and on the roof top bar quite expensive. The corridor in our 16 floor, smelled of paint mixed with a musty moldy smell. It took more than 30 minutes for our bags to be brought to our room. Not all elevators go up to the roofdeck. the pool is a little bit small. None. Difficult to get taxis, as the entrance of the hotel is a little secluded. Which is great for privacy though. the panoramic view in-front of the hotel, since some under contructions are being built now. I need to go back to school so I can understand the elevators. For a great hotel I will stay next time on lower level so I can use the stairs. Additional gym equipment would only add to experience. Only 3 elevators are sometimes annoying. Some loud noise from next room and outside door(maybe soundproof is not good enough). Pillow were too soft and mattress bit hard. Not enough choices on buffet breakfast. A bit pricey. wifi is extremely slow; for high speed there is a significant extra charge. Noting. All good!. I'm an avid weightlifter, so I would suggest a bench press with free weights and barbells and a punching bag for the gym. Nothing worth mentioning here. Substantial building works next to the hotel although this did not affect my stay. Be aware of a guy in the airport standing with the sign of "Holiday Inn", he will "arrange" for u a ride for the hotel for 900 pesos while a Taxi will charge you at the Max 200 Pesos. Shower water temperature not consistent. Sound proofing is not great, i could hear door banging and child crying in the next room!. I like all. Amenities, poor bathroom design. We booked non-smoking rooms and were offered very smelly smoking rooms upon arrival. No free arrival/departure airport transfer. -few selections for breakfast buffet. -small pool and pool area. -the in-room refrigerator wasn't cooling properly (but was immediately replaced by the management). Everythings was perfect. bit pricey - dont know why all hotels these days have added on fees, and crazy prices for in-room bar items, laundry etc. Buffet lunch/dinner very good but maybe a little expensive. I ate in the mall. The lifts are pretty slow but there is not much you can do about it. Nothing really. Although the speed of Internet could further be improved :). Nothing. Doors banging and people talking loudly in the corridor. Don't bother asking for a room away from the lift etc - it won't happen. There was some rubbish left in my room from the previous person that stayed in the room. Room service is very expensive. nothing.
