The staff were incredible. The place has everything you could want in a stay. Laundry machines all free (and full sized) parking, caring staff. Duvets sheeting and towels really good quality. Lots of fresh air!!. Hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and imformative. The room was clean, well designed, with a modern 50s feel. We liked the closet/ mini kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well designed.

This place had everything!. my second stay here, loved the beachfront view, its quiet even though it opens out onto the street. Best of all the shops & restaurants are all in walking distance. Fabulous location, spacious family 1 bedroomed unit, very quiet, good amenities. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others. Room was well appointed. Air con fabulous. Lovely touch of chilled water in the fridge, not mini bar. Lovely toiletries. Spotlessly clean. Best hotel in NZ in its price range. Very convenient for some good restaurants. Not too far from the centre of Napier to walk into town. Thought it was a great place to stay - bed was amazing - the location superb, clean, modern, simple. We loved it and will come again. We stayed over the weekend, which shouldn't make a difference. But if that's the case then extra towels should've been left in the bathroom. No Soap for showering?? I remembered that from my last stay & came prepared lol. Also there was a charge for WiFi (not a huge deal). Could not control the balcony light which shone through the curtains until the automatic turn off time. Light from outside shine through the frosted bathroom window and through the frosted bathroom door. This meant the room was not dark and disturbed sleep. Nothing. Simply a great hotel!. Small detail - we had a bbq on the 3rd floor which was fun - though there was only one utensil - previous users must have taken tongs - receptionist couldn't find any - then the lights went out around the building -(timer?) it was early evening - and plunged us pretty much into darkness and so cut short our little session - other than that our stay was fabulous. Little to say here. Napier itself is interesting Art Deco as everyone knows though clearly struggling a bit in the recession. Good for a stopover on the tour though. thought it a little expensive for just a room with quite an early checkout (10am) 11am would have been better. No fridge/bar, no lounge bar area so at $185 (a special) that's a lot for a night's sleep. The tea in the room was very poor, just put a couple of bell tea bags in there!. what's not to like. The light coming through the window above the entrance door. View of chimney of chicken barbecue cafe across the road by the beach!. Nothing!. The various noises in the night (fridge, airconditioning, etc). Bed slightly to hard for us. Not a thing. The policy of limiting free internet use. Most motels provide free unlimited internet use. There was a noise like a generator running thru the night.. My only negative was the volume and noise created by the staff at the next door cafe setting up in the morning... Their talking and clattering was of a level that it woke me up. Not sure if the upstairs unit would have the same problem? But in future would ask not to be in this area. Street noise Room wasn't reprovisioned on 2nd day.
