This motel has the best layout configuration for a family of four. It has a double bed in the main and a separate room with two single beds. The main room has a small but elegant courtyard with a garden table where we could sip coffee or eating our breakfast. Also the toilet/bathroom is on the other side of the separate bedroom so it minimises disturbances from anyone using the bathroom or toilet while the rest are sleeping. The place is very clean and well maintained and I can undoubtedly say .

Positioned on the other side of the wharf, away from all the noise; nice and quiet. The room was just lovely.Very clean.We loved the spa bath. We loved that the sea was just a walk across the road and the estuary was on the other side. We are going back as we really enjoyed our short stay. The property has been refurbished inside and out with flair and imagination, and is meticulously well kept. We stayed in Room 8 which had a fantastic bathroom, and a lovely private courtyard. We liked the location to our event, the ease of booking and flexibility of changing our booking. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room suited our needs. The room was very clean and having a Bar b Que to use is a great idea. Pointed in the direction of best Fish an Chips ever! Altogether pleasant experience. Great location, near where we were going, easy to find, very comfortable. Lovely little dog came to visit in the morning very nice atmosphere. Lovely and quiet, rooms well laid out, had a lovely outside area to sit in as well. Good location, easy to walk to cafes and restaurants. It was one of the very, very best places we have stayed. Met family there to enjoy a birthday weekend, was nice and handy to the restaurant we all went to. The hospitality of the host, nothing was to much trouble and I would rate it 9 out of 10. Near the beach, in-room spa. Close to Napier's famous Art Deco architectural district. Loved the atmosphere and how close we were to our friends. Cant beat the weather!. The layout of the room was well designed, lovely decor, it suited us very well. clean, modern and different appearance of the motel, gym and washing machine. Loved the huge outdoor seat outside unit 2...... Everything - great jacuzzi; spacious unit. spacious accommodation and cleanliness. Very well run, clean and efficient. Plenty of room nice bathroom. Good location. easy to find. Clean and compact room. There was nothing we didn't like. Another reading light in the corner by the armchairs would have been helpful. nothing. Because it was very cold weather-wise,the unit was lacking in heating comfort.Also the lounge TV was very hard to see because the picture was very dull.Tried to improve this with the settings menu,no good. Absolutely nothing. Felt that the management could have been more friendly, two family members asked for a later checkout as they weren't flying out until early afternoon. This was refused point blank, and as we had booked 3 units felt could have been more accommodating. n/a. My wife found the pillow too stiff, could be a bit more softer. layout of the unit - table cramped in the corner and bench designed for disabled so very low. - there was nothing !. We couldn't stay longer. Thought the shower floor was slippery, my elderly mother was worried about falling and stood on a towel. There are other motels in Napier with a better location, either on the beach front or overlooking the harbour. To compensate, At the Rocks is very fairly priced. Room was a bit dark and not a lot of privacy. Price paid online was more expensive than what the operator offered me for next time as standard rate. had a corner unit and parking was NOT suitable for our bigger car. Nothing. Road noise.
