There was nothing Not to like. On arrival we were upgraded to a unit with a view which we loved. Our hosts were friendly and very accommodating. We went to the office to ask for a taxi to Ahuriri and we were given a lift! They were great fun and will definitely return with the family if staying in Napier again. The unit we had was refurbished so very comfortable and well laid out. Absolutely n o complaints about our stay whatsoever. Wish we stayed for longer! A+++.

The lovely host Carol; gave time for me to unpack & unwind then come to the room and showed me around as well as gave demos on how to use the facilities, i.e. shower & spa. Breakfast was delivered in the pouring rain and was hot and yummy tasty!! Staff were all helpful, friendly & very welcoming. I will definitely be staying there again when I travel through. Thanks :). The room was Great and the owners were very accommodating throughout our weekend stay during their busiest weekend of the year; I highly recommend staying here! It is a competitive rate but the amenities like WiFi, snacks, room service option, some Cable called (Sky), with a comfy bed in a good size room with everything you'd want including food on-site. I was really happy with my unit and I loved the warm pool. Everything I needed was supplied. I liked the flat screen tv and the ability to watch TV in bed (Winter). Fittings were tasteful. The unit was clean and modern. The hosts were AA+, very friendly and so helpful. We had a slight issue with the shower and by our return trip they had resolved it. My nephew died in a motel on geothermal territory in a unit planned exactly the same way and it did frighten me somewhat. Other than that the motel unit was lovely. Did ask for a spa bath. We were told we would have one on the booking confirmation but there was not one in the unit. We were unsure if we were meant to do our dishes ? We presumed not as their is no seperate sink but this was not made clear ? After having a spa bath & a shower the following morning there was a really funny smell in the bathroom. Unsure if this is the water or the lights but it is quite strong & a bit offputting when you don't know what the cause is. It was in winter and very cold. The room was heated by air conditioner that had to run continuously through the night. A non air-heater might have been more comfortable to sleep with but we were grateful to be warm. the fact that our family have stayed at many motels in Napier over the years and it has taken this long to discover the best one so far. No signs if coming from North to identify vehicle access....hopeless!. Nothing. Was a really good stay - thanks. Only wish I'd had time to use the pool!. Quite a bit older than appeared in promo photos on your site. It is old and really showing its age. Kitchenette just a little too small but not the smallest we have encountered. The parking was a little difficult - we needed to back out onto the road. Not much traffic so didn't overly worry us. The pool enclosure was really hot couldnt open the door to let air through. room a little too compact,. only one couch would of liked a games room/gym parking was tricky for our unit. Cleaning could be better; for instance edge of carpets by walls needed a good vacuum in our unit, and the bathroom although whilst appearing to be quite clean had a lingering "sweaty" smell similar to a women's changing room at a sports facility. The gardens could do with a spruce-up, especially near the trampoline. The entry from the Meeanee Quay road needs to be better defined for drivers arriving for the first time. North facing roller blind. Restaurant lost our room service order, but made up with a wine gift. I kept hearing what sounded like a generator running intermittantly during the night, Couldn't work out where it was coming from. Our booking was made through letsbookhotel.com and the description on that website states the facilities include a hot-tub. We chose this motel specifically because of this and found on enquiry this was not the case. I was told I must have misunderstood the advertising as they had some rooms with hot-tubs. I went back and checked again and letsbookhotel.com clearly state hot-tubs listed in 'activities' available. We felt cheated. Road noise. Nothing. The entrance to the motel is very difficult to see. nothing!. It was a bit tired looking with no view. it didn't look like the picture on the website, disappointed! when checked in, they told us they forgot to provide the shampoo, but obviously they just told us, why not go back and get one? very disappointed. won't come back.
