The location is the best you can get in Amsterdam - close to all touristic attractions, shopping, restaurants and so on, as it is right in the middle of the city.
In the same time, it's far enough from the hustle and bustle of Dam Square, Red Light District or the trams and cars to be decently quiet.

The location was perfect, less than 10 minutes to central station and close to the red light district but not on top of it.
