Really great value, especially with breakfast included. Our room was quite small but was really nicely furnished, felt comfortable and was clean. Very handy having bicycle hire and a lock up opposite the hotel. Good selection of cafes, restaurants and bars within walking distance. The fact that you could get in and out at anytime. That was my seconde visite to this hotel. Nothing to complain. Small, clean, cosy hotel. laid back atmosphere, very informal, desktops for internet use in lobby.Location, friendly staff, good breakfast and great price. The hotel is 100% oke. Our bed had a very good matrass.Very helpful staff and very clean rooms!!. The staff was very nice, good atmosphere.The Dutch guy who works there with a baseball cap was friendly andhelpful. I like the taste of the grand floor where we have breakfast.Internet connection condition was quite nice. I like this hotel. I willreturn someday. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was great, the room very appealing. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also good. The only drawbacks might be the stairs, and the hotel is a fair walk from the central city. A minor point but the drainage of the shower stall was really really slow. Several cm of water collected before you finished a shower. It needed a bit of work with a plumbers snake.The guests are asked not to bring coffee or this kind of beverage to ownroom. I think it is impossible. Here is a hotel, not museum neitherlibrary, even if for keeping rooms clean. Internet very slow. mattresses should be better. Small room.Sometimes other guests were noisy late at night. TV in room 1.3 did not work. basic confort and basic breakfast. Our room was on the 4th floor and this place does not have elevators. Prepare for a decent workout. The beds were a bit soft, maybe not that great for people with weak backs. The shared bathroom doesn't drain that well so sometimes you get leftover soap and shampoo muck from the previous person's shower. Overall though, the pros greatly outweigh the cons.I got the fourth floor and the traditional Dutch architecture with no elevators and stairs like ladders were like clibing the Everest. same cheese and salami for 5 days. the room wasn't yet cleaned as I got to the hotel at 4pm, had to wait more than half an hour before I was able to use it. the first morning, the breakfast did not include all that was mentioned (no cheese and ham, but I guess it depends on the person of the staff you get, some of them are incredibly nice, other lacks sympathy and seriousness in his job), but overall was quite nice. Beds were very uncomfortable. Room was a bit small!. the room was a single but had a bunk and was about 60sqft the size of a small jail cell. The Bunk bed was a bit small but I am 6ft 2in. The smallness of the room and the difficult flow of the wash-stand that made unpleasant its use.Breakfast started at 8.00, too late for me. the staires, no fruits and no fresh vegetables. It was very *very* basic for the amount of money.... but I suppose that's Amsterdam!. rooms too small. triple roon was clearly a double with an extra bed thrown in. stairs were ridiculous. Very very small room. Single room was like a prison cell and top of that there was bunk bedand double in this cell room. I banged my head many time on bunk bed.There was no chair in the room and tv position was on the top on upperbunk bed. If you are sitting at the bottom level you can not watch tv.You have to climb up to watch tv and for me it was very hard as I havegot back problem.room was far too small to be considered a double room. the pillows were very old and gave no support.Room had notbeen cleaned properly.

By Public Transport:
From Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam Airport), take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. The train goes every 12 minutes and takes 15 to 20 minutes. A ticket from the airport to the station costs approximately EUR 3.60.
From the Central Railway Station, you can reach the hotel via tram 25. Get off at the Tweede van der Helststraat stop, walk in the street next to Peters Letters, near the tram stop, and take the first street to the right.
