We chose Traders as it was close to the bus terminal and shops which was very convenient. We never used taxis as the bus system there is exceelent so it's easy to get around the main sites by bus at very cheap prices. It was very spacious - with my own living room, balcony, bedroom ans open air bathroom, I felt like I had the whole house to myself. Great privac - The heritage house is very pretty, décoration inside is tasteful and original. Location is not in the historical centre but a 10min bus ride leads there easily, safely and cheaply until late at night. More over, staff is super friendly, super helpful and super sweet.

  I was very grateful for the excellent English ability of the staff. I was overjoyed with the ease and simplicity of getting a tourist visa for Thailand. Every staff member was very friendly. - The stuff was very helpful and friendly, I would stay there again if I return. The rooms are big and comfortable and I recommend this hotel.

Upon arrival Dickie ensured that we were given a map of the local area where local hawker places and restaurants were pointed out as well as attractions around Georgetown. The place itself i - I found moon trees to be an excellent value for money alternative to hotel stays. Owner ,Dickie was extremely helpful and congenial ,as well as making supberb coffee. Guesthouse has a wonderful homely vibe and is in a great location in the heart of the heritage area of George Town. Building is an authentic Chinese shop front and retains its old town appeal with basic fittings and amenities but everything works and is clean and tidy. Would recommend guesthouse to solo travellers or couples.
