  We had absolutely fantastic stay at the hotel. It is relatively new (12 year old) family run, little place with 7 guest rooms. The hotel is located in Volastra village, which is on the top of the hill between two 5 Terre towns of Manarola and Cornigla... Very friendly hostess will explain you everything...   AMAZING PLACE!!! it was a small studio apartment. Perfect for the 2 of us! We have a kitchenette a small seating area as well a balcony with a bit of a ocean view. The owner was awesome.   My wife and I spent four nights here and loved it. After we arrived at the train station, the reception office for the apartment was easy to find (above tabacco shop up Main Street a bit). The apartment was clean and modern. It had a great little kitchen with all the utensils we needed as well as a dining table. We bought groceries from the store ... what people say » next to the apartment and made picnics to take down to the water as there are many seats overlooking the water. Great place to stay! - The location was excellent, close to the Manarola train station. The bathroom was very good, spacious and good hot water but the shower head had a missing knob so it couldn't be anchored on the pole to the right height. And the safe also had a missing knob so wasn't usable.

Our "room" was actually a small home, with two small floors, with a narrow staircase in between. There was a bedroom upstairs and a kitchen and sitting room downstairs. This particular apartment is very easy access compared to some others further up the hill, yet it has a second high balcony which over looked the street.   Everything about this place was romantic...the town, the B&B, the view...We were celebrating our 25 th anniversary by touring the Mediterranean. We stayed at places in Spain, France and Italy. Our rooms were both nice, updated, clean, and quiet. The ground floor room was really large with a spacious bathroom and nice window, but no balcony. The upper level room was much smaller, but had a nice (small) shared balcony to enjoy the beautiful ocean view.

  Arriving into Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore was a dramatic Entrance. Beautiful coastal view directly from the train station. Hotel reception was on the main street called Via C. Colombo after walking through sidewalk tunnel. Walk up the steep street to find Roberto playing his piano and singing at the check in where you pick up room key. Very ftiend... what people say » ly. You need to only travel with a 18" carry on because there are stairs everywhere. We had wheeled suitcases which helps a lot! The room was down th - It's nice experience to stay in one of cinque terra old houses with narrow and steep staircase along some alleys. The place is really clean though the building is old.
