Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Excellent location (just make sure you get there before 7pm to make sure you can get the bus that takes you up to Corniglia. Otherwise that walk up the stairs to the town with luggage will be an adventure. Sandra and Paolo are wonderful, hospital people as are everyone in Corniglia. Literally a few steps from Cafe Mateo and other small coffee shops. This was our final stay in a trip from Barcelona, San Sebastian, Carcassone, and Nice. It was by far our fa. all reviews »
Hotel is located in very center of unique Corniglia. Clean, cozy, small hotel. No catering, but there is beautiful restaurant directly in front of the door. If you arrive by train you should climb very high stairs. Or use shuttle buss, which goes 1 time per hour and finishes at 19.35 . Arriving by car is possible but parking could be possible far from the hotel. Kind owner Sandra lives not in the same house, recommended to ask for exact address and call her in advance. Corniglia is the smallest.
The apartment was brand new and beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and had a small balcony with sea views. The owners Sandra & Paolo were very friendly and helpful, spoke good english & nothing was too much trouble. The location was great right on the Piazza and just a few steps to some great ristorantes. We visited all 5 villages in the CinqueTerre and we think Corniglia is by far the nicest.
We would recommend Sandra Villa Rooms to everyone !.
Cornigila is a fantastic village the most unspoilt of the five Cinque Terre villages, if you want a few less tourists and some genuine rest and relaxation, great walks, local wine and food with friendly locals its the village to stay in.
Sandra Villa Rooms is a perfect oasis in this gorgeous village. Just off the village square the rooms are in the heart of things, immaculately kept and with great views. All you could need.
The amenities were first rate - everything worked, the room and ensuite were spotless, the owner Sandra was very helpful and friendly, and the location in the centre of Corniglia was really convenient. The view from the balcony (and the bed) is extremely pleasing, and was a pleasure to wake up to. Small fridge was really helpful (and Sandra did supply a kettle on request).
Great location right in the centre of Cornigla on the Piazza in town.
Lovely, basic rooms. Great bathrooms. Back two rooms have a joint balcony with incredible views of the sea and countryside. Would highly recommend.
Corniglia is a beautiful, very small town at Cinque Terre. Very romantic locale, and great restaurants in town.
Corniglia is the smallest of the villages which make up Cinque Terre and is situated in the middle. Can decide each morning which way to set off for the day. Beautiful scenery. Great walks. Apartment centrally located with huge balcony overlooking the terraced vineyards. Apartment totally renovated so everything very clean.
The room was very comfortable, freshly and simply decorated. The bathroom was lovely and new too.
The room is in a great location for seeing the Cinque Terre coast, and has some great cafes and restaurants just outside in the piazza.
The view from the room is of the hillside and the valley.
The villagers in Corniglia were so friendly. The rooms were located in the center of town. They were nice and clean with a great balcony off of one of our rooms. Sandra was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go there again.
The view from the room was beautiful. The room was simple, clean, and charming. We took a hike that was the highlight of our trip in terms of the scenery. The food and service at the restaurants were excellent.
The view was spectacular and the location was perfect, with fantastic coffee bars and food outlets in the piazza at our doorstep. The room was very quiet at night. The local white wine is a must!.
Very pittoresque and neat hotel with great location. 10 meters to a cosy piazza with small trattorias. Rooms with small balcony with seaside view. New bathrooms, rooms airconditioned.
Beautiful quaint appartment, recently renovated, very clean and with a big terrace and an amazing view! Total paradise.
Very kind owners and anonimity/autonomy.
Simple beautiful clean rooms.
Our family stayed in 2 rooms next to each other, which worked well. Fantastic small village, very scenic.Sandra was very nice.
The view was amazing and so close to caffe matteo; who also have amazing food and service. People of corniglia are very friendly and welcoming.
I loved the view from the balcony. I loved the quiet location and
I loved the fact that there was a grocery store and pizza place
down the way.
Location right onto the square and not too many steps! Room very clean and comfortable, views amazing. Sandra very friendly, easy to find.
Great place to stay for 1-2 days:
- Clean rooms
- Very friendly owner of apartments
- Air conditioner
- Location in centre of the village.
Nothing much to say, other than we will be back and we've already recommended to friends and family. In fact we didn't want to leave!.
The villa is in the centre of the town. The train bringing you to the other towns of 5 terre can be easily reached by bus or steps.
Very clean, lots of room. Comfy bed. Nice view from the small balcony.
Just off the main street of Corniglia, but very quiet.
Great location. Very clean. Lovely rooms and wonderful balcony. Great bathroom with nice shower. Would stay again.
I think Corniglia is the best Cinque terre town. The place looked new
and it was clean. It's location is perfect.
Lovely very quiet apartment, great location, beautiful view from the large terrace. Would go back.
Excellent view from balcony; comfortable, quiet room right off of the "main street" in Corniglia.
Loved the location and the quaint village life plenty of places to eat and close to everything.
View of the sea and vinyards right from the balcony. Located on a quaint
pedestrian way.
The view from the balcony was very nice. Double entry door gave added security.
Great value, clean and well furnished rooms, amazing views from the balcony.
Wonderful rooms with nice decoration !!
Sandra is very nice :).
Sandra was a very friendly lady. The location is fantastic.
Very nice place especially good if you don't like crowds.
Delightful location. Simple, but very clean and nice.
Location, Local people and did I mention location.
Cosy apartment on small lovely "piazza".
Neat, clean, modern, easily found.
Clean and in a beautiful spot!.
Atmosphere, wilderness.
beautiful location.
Lovely balcony.
Very close to the sea view of the town. Clean room.
Perfect!.
Having to leave at the end of our 6 days.
Nothing to dislike.
Only slight difficulty is finding the reception - Sandra's house is not located where the apartments are. Suggest some instructions of where you need to go to pick up your keys. However Corniglia is such a small friendly place that you can easily ask if directions are needed.
Balcony didn't get the sun until late afternoon.
If there had been a kettle or jug and a couple of cups it would have been perfecto!.
That I had to leave!.
Nothing.
I would have like a bigger fridge. I thought when it said apartment
there would be a kitchenette, but I guess in Europe apartment means
something different.
- No breakfasts
- No wi-fi
- Strange view from the window (but maybe you'll be more lucky than I).
Like many hotels in Europe there are not enough places to put your
luggage for packing/unpacking and few places to hang towels in the
bathroom. But these are very minor issues.
Need better directions on how to get there when you get of the train ,there is a green bus that you catch up to the village costs 1.50 euro don't try to walk up the hill with luggage.
No phone or WiFi in the room.
Directions to find the place.
That we had to leave.
Hard to reach with lot of luggage. Parking expensive and/or very hard to find(even after high season).
Light and unstable chest that could be easily fallen(our 1yo toddler managed to do that).
Can't think of anything!.
Corniglia is on the mountain, if you drive here, it will take a while, not easy. The room has no sea view.
