  Pretty much everything. Our welcome was warm and everything we had imagined from the online reviews we had read. Free underground parking, incredible views, air conditioning was more than adequate during a very hot period in July, breakfast was plentiful with a beautiful outside view of Lake Como. The male owner gave us attentive but not intrus... what people say » ive service and recommendations as did Sarah who was on front desk at arrival. Grounds were well kept and clean and the location to Villa Carlotta an - Friendly welcome, style and cleanliness of the accommodation, helpfulness of the family running the hotel, wonderful attentive service and willingness to assist such as booking taxis, printing flight boarding cards - nothing too much trouble. Fantastic situation on side of lake. Really relaxing environment, wonderful views and simple but nice breakfast on the terrace and similarly simple but appetising lunch menu.

  The quiet location, the mix of international clientelle, the facilities and the the staff. The room we had was excellent and very well appointed. Excellent place to relax and see Como - very comfortable.........excellent property.....lovely hosts.......too bad it was raining and we left early

  The locacation was great, helpful staff, had a lakeside room, the view was fabulous sitting at our own balcony (almost a deck with table, chairs and loungers), the included full breakfast was excellen. It was just a wonderful visit.   Everything!!! We booked a lake view room and they gave us a suite. Practically every window and balcony/deck gives fabulous views of the lake. We have never before experienced such peace, tranquility and beauty. The hotel staff is fluent in several languages, including English. They were extremely gracious and helpful in all aspects. We would... what people say » recommend this hotel to anyone! - The staff were most pleasant and cooperative. Recommendations on restaurants were good and explanations of the lake boat system were very helpful. The one evening meal we had at the hotel was very good and the prices were most reasonable. We would stay here again any time we are in the Lake Como area.

  We loved this hotel very much,the staff were fantastic, very friendly and work very hard !! A great location a very nice room, the food is excellent with a great selection of wine( you dont need to go anywhere else!!). We havent a bad word to say about La Darsena and we hope to be going back to `The Ol´ Boat house´ next summer !!! A big thank you t... what people say » o all at La Darsena. Couple/small dog Freiburg - Everything, the staff, room, breakfast, and the restaurant was first class, we had a meal on our wedding anniversary at the restaurant over looking the lake, it was perfect. we wish we had eaten in the hotel restaurant more than we did as we went to a "touristy" restaurant that was expensive and the food was awful.
