The apartment is part of a charming old palace and had a wonderful view of the garden. With so few rooms there we almost never saw any of the other gu - Il Casale del Cotone was a fantastic choice for a relaxing week in Tuscany. San Gimigniano is only 3.5km away so if you want to do some shopping or go out for dinner or lunch, this is very convenient. The accommodation is kept very clean and the host Alessandro makes a very big effort to ensure all his guests are happy and comfortable. Alessandro cooks a 5 course meal 3-4 nights a week. We enjoyed these occasions and found this was a great opportunity to talk with him and meet the other guests.
