You can tell it is a well managed hotel from the time you walk into the lobby. All the rooms are big and tastefully decorated. Food in the restaurant was excellent. This hotel presented food of a very unusually high standard. we found martina and thomas so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and every thing was so fresh and they had a great menu.Made very welcome by the owners. The food was the best I ever experianced in a hotel. Will stay again on next trip to West Clare. It was very comfortable and quite. Mrs. Sheedy went out of her way ,helping us plan our trip to the Aran Island.Hospitality and the food was among the best I ever had. very central in vilage-good size room- friendly staff. Our reputation is based upon the modern interpretation of traditional dishes, concentrating upon the superb local ingredients. Sheedy's Restaurant has been awarded 2 AA rosettes for food and has won Georgina Campbell's Ireland Best Breakfast in Munster of the Year 2004. It was also the host for 2008, recommended by The New York Times. The restaurant is also recognised very favourably in The Good Food Guide and Fodors Guide has awarded it a star.

The Spectacle Bridge (3 km) - The bridge spans a deep narrow gorge through which the Aille River flows. As it had to support the road at the top, a double arch forming a circular opening was built above the lower arch, giving the bridge its unusual and unique 'spectacle' appearance.
The Cliffs of Mohar (6 km) - These majestic cliffs rise from the Atlantic to a height of nearly 200 metres and extend for a distance of 8 km from Hag's Head to beyond O'Brien's Tower.
Aran Islands (15 km) - Situated in the middle of Galway Bay, the rugged, natural beauty along with thatched roof stone cottages dot the islands. Throughout the islands, you will find ruins of early monasteries, fortifications and many churches.
