Clean room with the basic amenities, just what we needed for our brief stay. Breakfast was excellent -- lots of tasty, healthy options. Lots of attractions and eateries within easy walking distance. Accessible to rails and buses. Cozy, Awesome little hotel right in the center of Dublin! Staff was very helpful and nice. Liked it so much, we cancelled the booking at another hotel and re-booked the last room available at the Grafton for the end of our trip.

When I go back ho Dublin, I really like tot go back ho Grafton guesthouse..... The bathroom was very clean and the soap, shampoo and shower gel were an environmentally-friendly brand. There were earplugs in the drawer to block out traffic noise. The breakfast in the nearby French restaurant was nice. location is great.....walkable to anywhere downtown, on transit lines for other locations. Great restaurants nearby , great shopping and tourist sites. Excellent customer service from your reception and housekeeping . I didn't really expect the facilities to be as clean and comfortable as they turned out...at this price and inside in the city centre, with 5 min walk of temple bar and grafton st,. I would stay again. Location. Surprised at how pleasant it was in decor and comfort for price. Photo on booking site didn't do it justice. Looks relatively recently renovated. Water pressure great for shower. Quiet. Centrally located. Clean. Modern fixtures in bathroom. Helpful staff. Fresh-baked pastry for breakfast. Would highly recommend. And would stay there again. Location is amazing, 5 minutes from Temple Bar area. Wifi for free and Breakfast were a nice plus. Being a Guesthouse, you got a lot of freedom and privacy. We booked this hotel because it was very close to Dublin Castle, where I was attending a business conference. It is in an area full of little restaurants and pubs, with cobbled streets and great character. Met only one staff ,very friendly and helpful. Excellent location .walking distance to all major attractions,shopping,restaurants. Breakfast ok. Wifi was very fast The curtains when drawn really blocked out the noise from outside and also darkened the room to sleep. The beds are confortable. Good wifi internet signal. The nice breakfast at the downstairs café. Perfect location, clean and cosy. liked the old building. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked. On the 2nd floor the water pressure could have been beter, but the hotel was in the middle of a re-decoration. So, that will improve for sure..... The window in the room I was in was a bit breezy. It sounded as if the window was open and made the room breezy and chilly. The WIFI was not working. 2 flights of stairs with 2 very heavy suitcases. make sure you understand where you have to book in as it is in a separate building , located beside the accomadation. Some cheap vestiges of the Reno eg visible tap seal in bathroom wall where pipe used to be.curtain falling off rod. Lock seemed difficult...took me ages to get out of room. No reading lamp by bed-there was only the one high light in the middle of the ceiling. Luckily, I was able to get a cheap lamp at a nearby Thrift store, so I could read each night and plan the next day's outings. Bathroom maybe needs a little refreshment. A bit noisy during night, because you are in the middle of night life and there is a big pub just on the opposite side of the street. Can be noisy, especially round weekends. could be cheaper. - street noise (probably unavoidable and a trade-off that comes with location) - schlepping my bags up four flights of stairs (a trade-off for staying in an older building). -It was loud, BUT they had earplugs by the bedside -It was confusing to get to, I arrived around 10pm on a Saturday (had emailed them before to let them know), when I found it, I had to go to Kelly House, where someone was having a party in the reception area, I felt uncomfortable walking in to check in. I was surprised about the size of the shower, the luxurous rain-shower took up half the size of the bathroom (meaning door couldn't open completely without banging against the wash basin) :-). The single room, was a bit small, but ok for the price. Sink outside bathroom Window wouldn't close tightly/properly Blind wouldn't come back down properly either (I was in a 2nd floor single room in Grafton Guesthouse, away from Kelly's Hotel) Old-fashioned and simplistic - I was hoping for a better room for the money I paid, even if it was only a single room. no lift not very clean 3 out of 5. It was a bit of a hassle having to go to Kelly's down the road for reception, but that's just a small gripe. Kettle fused the socket when put on so knocked out tv too but not a great problem when staying B&B. The decoration of the room was very poor. Wallpaper was almost peeling off the wall, and the floor tiles in the bathroom needed attention, but I understand the place is under redecoration. The place was undergoing decorative works but I suppose that can't be helped and the place will look nice on my return. It would be a difficult place for somebody who has mobility problems to stay. There are many stairs. bit lack of space. Advice on the best place to park could be included beforehand, as they do have a discounted rate at one of the nearby car parks. Might be noisy for some people, very close to nightlife. Stairs difficult for anyone with a suitcase. no lift. nothing. decoration. The room is a little bit dark ... Not enough light. 2 of the 3 sockets in the room were not working. We reported this on the evening of our arrival to the reception clerk, but it was not repaired before we left after our second night. The previous reviews about noise in the streets carrying on till 3am are correct. I thought this would not be a problem for us as we were staying mid-week, but that made no difference. Earplugs are provided in the bedside drawer if you get desperate. Facilities: no ventilation ,window doesn ' t open, very old hair dryer ,hair gets caught in it, poor lighting in the entrance , can ´t see what ´s in the closet especially to use the safe. No full mirror.u Very old carpet. Not recommended for people with back problem as there is no elevator and no staff available to help. Ok only if you have a carry on bag,but at least the hotel warns you about the situation at before booking. Where to start, not enough of pillows and the ones we had were too flat, very uncomfortable to sleep on. The room had no iron. The lighting in the room was very poor, needs a brighter bulb. Not worth the money we paid for it. The rooms do not have blinders in the windows. The very small wash basins in the room. Downtown so it can get a bit noisy, equipment are a bit old. old windows meant they were not insulated very well, there was a late night pub right outside our window & we might as well have been 'in' the pub!.
