Perfect location. Hire bikes on site and 5 minute ride to the busy harbour area. Nice beach out front and good supply of beach deckchairs in dedicated Bale Sampan. Turtles every day out front. Staff are like a family. Food is cheap and of highest quality. Bungalows are ultra spacious and clean. The chant of prayer from the mosque, is in my opinion, not too close and quite lovely to hear regardless of the time of the day. all reviews » My girlfriend and I stayed at Bale Sampan for 3 days after trekking up Mount Rijani in Lombok. Our fist impression was that the hotel was charming would be quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Check in was quick and easy and we were immpressed by the cleanliness and layout of the room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large enough for two people to maneuver without stepping on each other. After talking with other people about their hotels on Gili T it seems to me that Bale Sampa. Rooms are fairly small but they have all you need, a lovely part outdoor shower/bathroom. It's not anyhting flashy but reasonable for the price we paid. Staff were very friendly, nice breakfast. The bungalows are in a good location, a short walk away from the main part of the island where you can find all the restaurants and bars. Far enough that it's quiet at night time but only a short stroll away which isn't a chore when you're in such amazing surroundings! Loved every minute of our 5 days o. Location! Just a few minutes walk to the restaurants but on a quieter piece of the main road. Bale Sampan is one of the few accommodations with a warm, fresh shower. Nice breakfast, if you want you can get an extra baquette with your eggs. The location of the hotel was brilliant and every morning we had a very good breakfast. The snorkelling was amazing and the staff were very helpful. If we visited again we woul stay at this hotel. The location is fabulous, the staff are lovely and the breakfast was very good. Breakfast, rooms, staff, location. Large and clean rooms with cool open air toilets! Right in front of the beach. The chants coming from the mosque are not a problem. I'm used to having a mini-bar fridge and kettle in the room and having two bottles of water left in the room daily. You get over this in half a day as the pros far outway the cons. Water is only 50 cents Australian (or thereabouts) and available at the cafe. Hot water is available at the cafe after hours when you want that last cuppa for the evening. We missed a towel rack in the bathroom. Umbrellas at the beach would be nice. No mini bar, no fresh water daily, and first room leaked badly after heavy rain. no fridge in room. No fridge in room to chill water, etc. Poor water pressure, items on menu unavailable, no umbrellas on beach, no fridge. TV was not working. Air con didn't work well (unable to cool down the room). Didn't have kettle to make some tea or coffee. Toilet had no mirror. Staff didn't solve the problems. Rate too expensive!.
