We loved Laguna and Gili T as a whole. The staff were very welcoming and friendly which made our stay even more enjoyable. Rooms are very well presented and although some people may think they look tired, we ha no complaints. The location is perfect for snorkeling with plenty of fish recognisable from finding nemo (good for the kids) and we were even lucky enough to see a Turtle (usually have to take a day trip for turtles). Breakfasts were spot on considering that Gili T is such a tiny islan.
all reviews » Loved the friendly staff. Always happy to chat to us and help us out. The breakfast each morning was delicious! You could have whatever you wanted from the menu. The rooms cleaned daily and extremely spacious. Opposite the beach. Nice and quiet and away from the noise of the bars etc, being a small island it only takes you 10 minutes to get to everything and 5 minutes later you are out of it all again anyway. Beautiful snorkelling area right out the front and only two doors down from Mango Dive. Freindly staff, beautiful, quiet surroundings and grounds. The location on the beach front was perfect being a little away from the hustle and bustle a short distance down the main road. Everything is very clean and showing no signs of wear being only about 12 months young. Lovely little pool set back a bit from the road to provide some privacy and quiet. Nice open plan restaurant with the option of eating over the road near the beach. Very generous breakfast selection, try the banana pancak. The location was spot on, close to action when you wanted it and then far enough away to feel like you are getting away from it all where you could totally relax. The rooms were beautiful and compared to others on the island great value for money! Pool and beach area were both private and spent heaps of time lazing about! Staff and owner were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. First time on Gili T and loved it, did not want to leave and we will be back!!. The best location to stay on the island. Snorkelling daily with turtles just off the beach opposite Laguna Gili & only a short stroll into the town centre. Great beach & pool beanbags. The staff were amazing & the dining menu had good variety & was very well priced. We ate dinner twice & the grilled snapper was definitely the best we had. We stayed a week & did not want to leave. - Fresh water in the pool is a luxury on the Gili's, and quite important after swimming so long in the sea, to take the salt off. - breakfast was perfect, with lots of options in the complimentary list - the position in front of the beach was great. - the location on the island was perfect in my opinion: 10 mins walking far from the center of night life, but close enough to restaurants and bars. • Great location in the quiet side of the beach. far from the crowd of harbor and nightlife. • I like the design of the room. very tropical. • they clean up the room everyday when we go out. • they have a swimming pool. not a big pool but at least we can use it if we quite bored with swimming at the beach. • helpful hotel staffs. The swimming pool is inside the hotel, for me it's nice because the other hotels have the swimming pool outside (by the street) so everyone see, which i dont feel comfy. Clean. Breakfast. Have no issues at all. Others might find the rooms a bit 'worn' but we had no issue and they were immaculately tidy. Someone did suggest snorkel hire, bike hire etc which would have been perfect. Staff need a little training as to what order food should be brought to the table. You don't really want everything at once. The room AC had times when you would have liked to crank it up a bit more but this is probably subject to power availability and it does help to acclimatize you a bit. The beach beds could do with a bit more padding as they get a bit hard after a time. Not much bad to say at all, whilst breakfast was more than adequate the rest of the menu was so so however others liked the food so it just depends on your tastes. There are amazing restaurants all over the island and so easy to get to. We loved using the pool of a night time but not during the day as it was far too warm. - there are better italian restaurants on the islands. Good for lunch, but i preferred to go somewhere else for dinner. - wi-fi was quite weak in the room. • Bad wi-fi connection. poor signal. the signal only available at the restaurant and around swimming pool. not in the room. i think they should buy a router for each room. • the position of television. they look like a desktop computer instead of TV. not really comfort to watch. maybe you can get a different table for TV and change the position to be more near to bed. • the food could be better. • the owner not really friendly to local tourist. they never greet us. The ac in the rooom ws extremely poor. Even on max it did not cool the room adequately. Although all the restaurant staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they stuggle a bit with large orders or when the restaurant is full. Because we stayed in the Ramadan period, in the evenings you hear the mosque for hours. But I assume you will hear this over the whole island. wifi should be improved (Management is aware of the issue and is taking corrective actions). Nothing. Towels looked dirty and the bathroom smelled bad. The air conditioning in my room was not working and it was so hot. It switched off all the time. I complained several times but they were unable to fix the problem. Apparently the problem was only in my room since I askel few other guests and they didn't have problems. Breakfast option is limited, there was construction noise in one morning of our stay at about 8.30ish a.m. -. A/C not powerful enough, very poor WIFI connection. Menu at resturant is a little boring. Breakfast could improve. A few issues with rooms such as bathroom sink not secured to vanity unit. 1. TV is too far away from the bed. 2. While the hotel provides many cable TV channels on news, it should provide entertainment programmes such as HBO, Cinemax. Pool Wifi Distance to main restaurants Shower - Can't be helped! Low pressure. Price not in pairty with service level, WiFi didn't work very well on Apple devices, Confused/somewhat rude first impression by staff not understanding I had a reservation. Food could be better. Not much extra services (I.E no bike rental or mask/fins snorkel rentals). The girl receptionist is nice only to foreign tourist, but not to us domestic tourist. The fact that the mosque was next door made it hard to sleep. The food wasn't good and for some reason, during each meal, Celine Dion (Live Concert) was being played. At level of services and staff no profissional. Hotel in the average, Absolutely does not worth the money spent. Bad shower and no hairdry. Owner without idea of doing business in tourism. Nothing special and the price is really high. The worst thing was cleanliness, the bathroom was smelling like a public toilet.
