  First of all, Friðjòn, the manager, is super nice and attentive, real pleasure to deal with. The apartment is new and clean, tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need (pots and pans, utensils etc). The balcony is spacious and the view from the bedroom is right to the harbor. There are plenty of restaurants around and everything is a short walking distance. - The hotel manager Fridjon was excellent, really helpful and nice. The apartment is immaculate and equipped with everything you could want. The location is brilliant - just overlooking the harbour, only 2 minutes walk from the Reykjavik town square (which also means it's a lot quieter at 5am when everyone is coming out of pubs/clubs!)

  This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. They also provide cartons of milk and orange juice that you are free to use up.... what people say » Our kitchenette featured a sink, toaster, mini-fridge, and basic cooking equipment (pots and pans). The front desk staff is VERY nice and helpful. P - Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

  Honestly, what's not to love about this hotel/apartment/suites? We fall in love with it the minute we walked in and was very sad when we had to leave. The location is great, very close to almost everything. Although, one thing I would like to mention, the road that it is currently sitting on being worked on. There is a parking garage right across the road, make sure you let the - Tastefully furnished; loved the reading alcove and many skylights and exposed wooden beams of the top suite. Excellent location - just one street over from the main shopping/dining street which can get noisy during the weekend. The breakfast was more than enough for 3 people, with delicious sourdough bread left hanging on your doorknob every morning. Goose down comforters and Icelandic wool blankets were really cosy. Good soundproofing muted the construction sounds which began at around 8 A.M.

  While on the main shopping street, it was relatively quiet. Also within walking distance to everything within the downtown area. It had all the appliances needed to cook your own dinner or just warm up a pizza or leftovers from a local restaurant.

  Hotel has been re-done recently and has an impressive lobby (with free internet pc's available). The rooms are decorated very well and there is a good information book in your room. The duvets are divine!! Staff are very friendly and efficient in booking the flybus back to airport - Very positive staff.
