First of all, Friðjòn, the manager, is super nice and attentive, real pleasure to deal with. The apartment is new and clean, tastefully decorated. The hotel manager Fridjon was excellent, really helpful and nice. The
apartment is immaculate and equipped with everything you could want. The
location is brilliant - just overlooking the harbour, only 2 minutes
walk from the Reykjavik town square (which also means it's a lot
quieter at 5am when everyone is coming out of pubs/clubs!)

This place must be the best value in Reykjavik. I walked into my room and had a mini-jaw drop as I saw the quality of the furnishings, the comfortable bed, the NEWness of everything, and a well-stocked kitchenette. Breakfast is a tray of goodies - bread, jams, cheese. They also provide cartons of milk and orange juice that you are free to use up.

Everything was great - clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi in room, kitchen facilities, ipod dock), and the bath was lovely. The staff were friendly & helpful, dealing with some of my tourist queries including phone calls to local tour companies. The location is very central and you can walk to all shopping, bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Most tour companies pick up and drop off outside the hotel.

Honestly, what's not to love about this hotel/apartment/suites? We fall in love with it the minute we walked in and was very sad when we had to leave.

Tastefully furnished; loved the reading alcove and many skylights and
exposed wooden beams of the top suite. Excellent location - just one
street over from the main shopping/dining street which can get noisy
during the weekend. The breakfast was more than enough for 3 people,
with delicious sourdough bread left hanging on your doorknob every
morning. Goose down comforters and Icelandic wool blankets were really
cosy. Good soundproofing muted the construction sounds which began at
around 8 A.M.

We stayed in the Vatnsstigur 11 building, which is perfectly located just off the main street Laugevegur - close to everything, but not disturbed by nightlife at all. No reception staff, but self check-in and finding the room key was easy. Just 200 yards from the sea front and the Sun Voyager statue.

The location is very good as it is very close to the shops, church, grocery and iceland excursions terminal and main office. Room 504 is really nice with kitchen, balcony, living room and 2 single beds. I was very happy with the kitchen because it's got everything! While on the main shopping street, it was relatively quiet. Also within
walking distance to everything within the downtown area. It had all the

I liked the food served (and nearby restaurants), the ready drinks service, the wooden guys sitting around the lobby, the room we were given (ground floor, with one of our party weak on walking), the willingness to call a taxi when asked, the neat design of the room, esp. bathroom. I liked the location close to boats being reconditioned! -
