The noise of the trawmway from the rooms on the street. old furniture, it is really 3,5 stars not 4 stars. could have done with a better bar area. Internet connection in room didn't work, had to use a weak signal from a free hotspot.hotel is not fresh. Our towels were threadbare, the carpets had stains and there were not enough pillows. Also the rooms were too warm.towels were not changed often and we had to ask for some facilities that they were supposed to be on price. dirthy carpet, no internet at the room. The rooms were not half as big as stated on the hotel website. The bath room was not very clean and the room provided was a smoker room rather non-smoker as requested. No sauna/steam room, pool only open certain hours, had to use towels from room for the pool and it was cold no heating in surroundings.No bar. The room was in need of redecoration, was too warm and with the window open, impossible to sleep with the traffic and tram noise outside.They did not clean every day the room. The bed was cracking all the time. The room did not have a Safe. It was not clea,and no body make the room for the night before we left ,and for three days no hot water. I had dirty socks left in the room,hot water took 10mins to get to our room when we told staff they said that was usual, no food exept breakfast also no room service and this for a so called 4* hotel to me is not really on!!!. The hotel is very old and the looks and feel is disgusting. The whole ambiance is of bad quality, for sure this is not a 4-star hotel! Please give another rate on your website or be honest and say its a bit old fashioned and needs to be modernised.

at the motorway-crossing Hilden (No 19) change to the A 46 direction Duesseldorf, exit 24 Wersten, direction Zentrum. Keep driving straight ahead over Mecumstrasse-Erasmusstrasse-Corneliusstrasse-Karl-Rudolf-Strasse. At the Graf-Adolf-Strasse turn right, direction Hauptbahnhof (main-station). At the Stresemannplatz (street-circle) turn right and take the third exit. The Madison Hotel & Sportclub is located on the left side of the street (about 150 m ).
from the north (A3):
at the motorway-crossing Breitscheid (No 16) change to the A 52, direction Duesseldorf. At the end of the motorway drive straight ahead direction Zentrum/Stadtmitte. At the crossroad Tonhallenstrasse–Immermannstrasse please turn left to the Immermannstrasse. Ater about 500 m turn right into the Karlstraße. At the Stresemannplatz (street-circle) take the fourth exit, the Madison Hotel & Sportclub is located about 150 m on the left hand side.
by plane:
At Duesseldorf airport take the S-train 7, direction Solingen-Ohligs until you reach the main station (Hauptbahnhof). Take the exit Konrad-Adenauer-Platz/Innenstadt. In front of the station turn left into the Graf-Adolf-Strasse. The Madison Hotel & Sportclub is located on the right hand side ( about 300m).
