The staff were excellent at all times,coffee offered on arrival. All were knowledgeable about the area and transport, happily searched for transport details etc. Clean, well maintained, nice bar and restaurant, very good breakfast, accommodating staff. close to station and near internet cafe and good indian food restaurant. Another point, the streets around the hotel are full of sex shops, night clubs, adult video with their window covered by nude pics. It is like walking on the redlight district. Not recommended for families with little children.Too many sex-shops around, in the evening it's a bit.... uncomfortable to walk around. Nothing! Everything was very good! Only, when you want to douche or wantto go in bad you have to go in the morning or in the evening after six.The smell of cigarettes did linger and drift to the rooms a tad as the stairwells were frequented by staff on their breaks. Also, as the smoking ban has yet to hit Germany this was the case in the restaurant too, although the same can be applied to the majority of bars and restaurants we visited. mo. No internet in the rooms which is a big drawback for business travelers. with this price, everything was reasonable. everything was oke. Location. Room seem old. Shower controls confusing and do not like shower curtains. However problem is the same with majority of hotels.I did not like all the table dance places all around the hotel, which I could not guess from the internet discription, but the hotel iteslf was good for this price. Comfort of beds and pillows was poor, no heating controls. Road which Hotel was in was run down lots of closed premises. But theHotel had recently been up dated and was very pleasent. The bathroom is a little bit small. The breakfast is not nice.it's not a modern hotel, facilities are old. the suround area is a bit dolgy. Position in the Red lites district. I wanted non-smoking room and it was smoking. Bathroom is really small and it's difficult to adjust the temperature of the shower, either too cold or too hot.poor furniture, bathroom, minimalist breakfast. Most of it was very dated, musky and aloof. The smell of aged rugs, and fixtures dating back 40 years. The laws of supply-and-demand, during a conference period, allowed them to charge 300 euro for a place that shouldn't fetch that much for an entire month!.

Our hotel is situated at the city centre of Düsseldorf so that you can reach the old city centre ("the largest bar of the world") and the famous shopping street "KÖ" in short time. The main station, the airport and the fair grounds are easy to reach by public transports.

Travelling information

When you travel via the A3 Frankfurt, go in the direction of Oberhausen via the A46 junction of Hilden. Then you go in the direction of Düsseldorf, where you take the exit Universität and further along you go into the direction of the central railway station via the B8 (the "Auf'M Hennekamp"), and then you turn left at the crossing onto the Ellerstrasse. Drive on straight ahead for ca. 900m, and then you will reach the Mintropstrasse.

Another possibility to arrive is via the A 52 in the direction of Düsseldorf, and then the B8 in the direction of the central railway station (ca. 7km) until the crossing with the Ellerstrasse; then you turn right and after ca. 900m you will reach the Mintropstrasse.
