  The location was brilliant, on a quiet street close to the pedestrian centre of Lille. It is a 4 guest room B&B in a 140 year old town house - but what rooms and what a house. The décor was faultless and the standard of cleanliness up with the best we have ever encountered - anywhere! Nothing was too much trouble - from collection and return to the railway station in Denis's London taxi to a totally unexpected - Our stay at La Maison was all and more than we expected. Much has already been said by others- but this B and B is very special. Luxurious, spacious, spotlessly clean, and the owners and hosts look after every need. Breakfasts were generous and filling- you wont really need lunch! We were picked up from the station in Denis' London cab- and from that moment we were offered the highest standard of service and care. Thankyou Maison- we loved our stay.   This was our second stay at Bienvenue Chez Nous and was as good as the first. Conveniently situated a hundred yards to the main square of Bergues with its bars and restaurants. Easy, free, parking right outside the hotel or in nearby streets. Friendly proprietors. Good quality breakfast. Parking outside was easy and free. We stayed on a Sunday night when the restaurant was closed it looks great and menu good so looking forward to staying again when its open.

  We returned to the wonderful best Western Why for a night to attend the Lille Braderie. This is a great comfy little hotel with good sound proofing, great views and an excellent position just off the Grand Place. Nespresso machine with genuine cartridges. Free mini bar. It really couldn't get any better. If you have chance book a lunchtime meal, the chef is clearly very good. I will definitely return!

  We stopped here to find out about the first World War and couldn't have picked a better place as the owner was very knowledgeable, having unearthed an WWI tank. The staff were very helpful and friendly, speaking very good English. The room was nicely decortaed and had an excellent bathroom - big bath and fantastic shower. The gardens were a riot of colour. - The Beatus was very clean and decorated tastefully. We were very comfortable there. It was a great location, with the center of Cambrai only a few blocks away. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful since it was set back from the street in lovely gardens. We would definitely stay there again.

Buffet in Brasserie for both breakfast & dinner was very good and decent value considering range of food and quality. - Spacious room with appealing design features and all that you'd expect for a luxury boutique hotel. SteAm and sauna were clean and welcoming.

  We only stayed one night, arriving late in the evening and leaving early in the morning the next day, however that short time we were there was lovely. The room was large and full of character, very quiant and comfortable. The owner was sweet and she prepared a delicious breakfast for us, with hand made apple sauce and cake! The only downside for us was that we don't speak French, with only a basic understanding, so had a bit of a struggle com - Very well located for ferry ports (10mins drive from Dunkirk). Our family room was lovely large room with 2 double beds. House is larger than appears from the outside and lovely rear garden which we were invited to enjoy. Owners were very friendly. We had a lovely evening meal in what looked like the only restaurant in town (only open certain nights a week, so worth checking). We parked in square which is 1 min walk from house.

I had stayed in different hotels in Lille before but finally found the one that I will definitely come back to next time.
