It fits the bill when considering its one of the more cost effective options in Lyon. We booked last minute despite some negative reviews and were generally satisfied with the accommodation. I find some people can expect a bit too much when I read other reviews. Considering its price and location (southside of Perrache Metro Station) if you're on a budget I would recommend it. It's clean and comfortable but don't expect a 5 star hotel.
all reviews » First, the location is great. Very easy to find. Second, the hotel is very clean. It's a comfortable environment to have a good rest. Third, staff in hotel are friendly. They gave us many useful information for wandering in Lyon. Fourth, the condition in the room is perfect. Anyway, we were satisfied. The hotel is two-minute walking to the train station, tramway, and metro. The room is comfortable and quiet. The bed is big, soft, and very clean. The receptacle is helpful, especially the smiling boy who told me how to get to the Chinese restaurant is very friendly. I strongly recommend this hotel. The Staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was great and literally next to the train station which was very convenient. Furthermore, the room was quite spacious for a single room and very comfortable. I liked the way the staff went out of their way after an accident resulted in coffee being spilt over my top. They washed it and dried it and had it ready for me in the morning when we left. 1. Very near to Lyon Perrache, just 50 meters away; 2. It is silent, and convenient; 3. The bed is comfortable (not that much the pillow). Very near from train/metro/tram station (Perroche). I had emailed and confirmed with hotel staff an upgraded room. This had not been done on arrival so had to share a double bed. very downmarket corner of lyon. I drove to Lyon from Toulon and booked the hotel on my way there. I didn't like the fact that directions were not precise and despite my having pgs system in the car, it took 2 hours to find the hotel, just when I was about to leave the city. For a first time comer, it might take a little while to locate this hotel. But once you get to that corner, you would find it in a quiet area that you would actually enjoy during the night sleep. Particularly one receptionist was very unfriendly and rude. Shower hole was nearly blocked. Maid did not change the toilet paper when there was little remaining. Also, when she change our towels, she did only for one of us. In general, staff (receptionists and maids) has much to improve. Expensive breakfast 7-8€ (we did not try though). Not worth without a deal like ours. The room was almost unbearably hot and they did not have any fans. The room as about 5 degrees warmer than the outside, but in a different time of year, this would not be a problem. General room maintenance was very lacking. Cupboard was missing the handle, a table leg was not attached to the table, and the toilet seat was broken. Breakfast is a bit too simple. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but it was more than okay!. The place is not nice,more like a pit stop for sleeping.Rooms are very small and basic,fairly clean.Is is located right on the Perache railstation and far from Lyon downtown and Lyon Part Dieu railway where most trains from the North arrive.At 80 euro per night,the price on booking is not good value for money.The walk in price was cheaper!. no air conditioning could be uncomfortable on hot nights. one misunderstanding with staff which could be potentially dangerous; toilet separate from running water as it was in my room, is not ideal. Lack of bathroom utensils, towels.. Troublesome parking. Room is small. No air conditioner and noisy outside all day long. Staff were not kind and not able to assist. There was no air conditioning and no fan in the room which became unbearably hot during the night, EXTREMELY uncomfortable and the sheets were wet with perspiration in the morning. breakfast was ok but there wasn't much to choose from.
