We were upgraded and had an excellent room for a small price compared tothe actual room rate. Very comfortable, attention to detail. Was greatto have tea/coffee making facilities as this is not as common in Europeas it is in Australia. Breakfast was also excellent. Nice atmosphere, the room was in good conditions and quite nice. Butmost of all the location is perfect! A few steps from Perrache trainstation and right at the beginning of Victor Hugo street (goodshopping street).

The good thing is that it was exaclty like in the photos; however, for this price it was quite small, only 12m² I think.. and the view not so good also.. just in front of the train rails... However, nice and clean room, sufficient heating, good mattress, private indoor parking for only 10e, quite nice proportion quality/price. Good location near Perrache train station and with trams, buses and metro station: room (superior) was very clean, quiet and comfortable.cleanliness; staff; convenience re location; comfortable beds - enjoyed our stay. WiFi connection is expensive, in uttermost of other Hotels I can connect the Internet free of charge.The window (balcony-door) was unclosable. Heating equipment (climate) is a bit noisy. For a 4 star French Hotel it appeared very "thin on the ground"for luxury. location very convenient for Perrache but if you don't need to be at Perrache... difficult approach by car (big and complicated crossroad for first time visitors). Too bad that the hotel was so close to the railway station Perrache and the highway. In this way it was a bit cut off from the centre. On the other hand this was also an advantage. It was old and it always smelled like soup.The absence of a computer available for customers. The furnitures are to be renewed.Although we booked a twin bed double room and we reminded thereceptionist upon our arrival we were still given a double bed room andwe had to carry our luggage down and to another room that we were givenafter our complaint. It was quite frustrating as we were very tiredafter a long journey. We also didnt particularly like the fact thatthere was a mouse running behind the reception desk!. This is never a 4 star hotel, at the most is a 3, you need to reclasify.It was prestigious once, a little dated and in need of renovation. I did not find the 4 star hotel service in this hotel.There is too much smell in the room.and hotel is old.
