1) Location, less than 100m walk away from Metro - Oberkampf. Ideal station to move around in Paris.If you have heavy luggage, carry luggages up and down the metro stairs can be a chore BUT the hotel proximity to bring you almost everywhere in Paris weighs over all that stairs.

The hotel was really clean, they would come in the room everyday to check if you had clean towels etc.
They didn't steal anything from the room
The room was small but very pretty for how little we paid
The metro station is 1 min away and if you walk straight you arrive at Place de la Republique which has plenty of bars and places to eat. Not expensive
There was always someone at the reception to talk to you

Location was great, just a couple of minutes from metro station. The room was spacious and well lit, clean and cosy. However it was a little cold (I stayed there in March). I could not fault this hotel. It was great value for Paris. It's not luxury, but it had everything I needed. The water was always hot. The room was well heated. Everything was spotlessly clean. Excellent location - 5 minute walk to the Metro and surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops. The staff were helpful and pleasant. -

The staff is very friendly and in case of early arrivals will keep your luggage so that you can go ahead and explore Paris.
