  Proximity to the cathedral was great. My husband and I could walk to it in less than 10 minutes. Although the breakfast was not included, it was worth the cost as it included fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, different breads, as well as scrambled and soft boiled eggs.   Staff were excellent, friendly and helpfull. Everything was very smooth from booking in to booking out. - Rooms were clean and comfortable. A restaurant was available and there was also a Buffalo Grill next door. Handy for Chartres although tricky to find at first.

  Hotel Marmotte is a budget hotel, but a very pleasant one. The room was tiny but for a quick overnight stay, it is all you need. We used their restraurant for breakfast.   We arrived late and the reception staff still had a welcoming smile for us. All the staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Although I speak some French the staff were more than willing to speak english to us. The breakfast buffet was great and a good variety.
