Location very close to highway but quiet,with privacy.The manager was extremely nice andlet us check out later. The beds were comfortable and we regret not having the breakfast. Excellent staff, very polite and attentive, good location for an overnight near Chartres, lots of shops nearby, quiet. A bit basic but great for an overnight in the area. Very nice (english-speaking) staff, late Check-In (22:00) without any problems. The Rooms are small but very beautiful. Breakfast was good (7€). Would stay again!.

Far from the centre of Chartres . you have to get there by car. slight smell of smoke in one room. my family stayed on the top floor at the end of the hallway in rooms across from each other. we couldn't get the internet to work in either room....reception unable to help us. Nothing really. Signage to hotle from road could be better (enlarged). The free Wifi reception was extremely poor to the point of being useless. Arrived at 5.15pm. Recption unattended. Door locked. No written instructions or advice. Waited for long time before another guest came by. He was unable to help because I don't speak French. Finally another guest arrived andn he told me to go to a nearby hotel and there I was finally given the room and key which I had booked in advance. WI-FI available but unable to connect. Room was a bit warm and could have done with air conditioning. No elevator, very small room. No evening meal. Room was tiny. There were some blood stains on the mattress protector of the third bed which were very off-putting. It was a long way from Chartres cathedral and you would need a car to stay here; we couldn't get the WiFi to work on our smartphones. the outside of the hotel and the foyer looked drab and unclean. the staircases also looked as if they could do with a clean up. on our first overnight stay there was a towel on the landing floor as there must have been a leak, it was still there a week later when we had our next overnight stop. Breakfast was a little disappointing. No A.C. Duvet too thick for summer. A strong smell of cigarette smoke in a non smoking room. Staff pretend not to speak any English. The check-in lady was unforgiving, unco-operative and misunderstanding all attempts at my not too bad basic French. >80% of guests are international and do not speak French. lack of air conditioning, which the details says the hotel has, made the stay very unpleasant. The bunk bed was DIRTY and had not been made up. There were no staff after 10pm to get new bedding, so I went to the Novotel across the carpark who gave me clean sheets. I made up the bunk bed myself which was awkward. The bedside light had no bulb in it - I think a few corners had been cut. Unfriendly reception. Hotel due for renovation. Poorly maintained. Rooms are very tight. Their cleanliness! The steps, the walls, the carpets are filthy!!!!! We were afraid of walking around barefoot on the carpet.we could not waaaaaiit to get out of this hotel! We did not feel super safe either, the area is not the best. This hotel is used for workers in transit. The staff in the morning barely nodded at us and did not even take our keys, she was tending to breakfast trays. Hotel was VERY disappointing!. Rooms stank of cigarettes, had not been cleaned on our arrival 2.30pm. the receptionist could not have been less helpful even if she had not been there.having booked a no smoking room,on arrival the room stank of smoke. The windows which could not good be opened, the washingtub was in a poor state, no space for luggage. No bench outside to sit for a while in the sun..no sittingroom for the evening, very poor internet possibilities. The staff doesn't speak English and is not at the desk for most of the time (if it appears, it's not as helpful as it should be, even if you speak French). The hotel's WiFi doesn't work. Rooms are small, low, old, and ugly. There's no lift, neither air conditioning.
