Initially we picked the hotel because we only wanted to spend one night in Calais en route to central France and it was reasonably priced. We found it to be excellent on all matters. The room was comfortable, the staff were very friendly, they are dog friendly and the hotel dining room was first class with a good selection of well cooked meals. - T

It has a garage for car security. It is quiet at night. The rooms are well furnished and decorated. Beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. I have stayed here when it was the Bonsai which was cheap and cheerful and this continues to be the case. The bedrooms appear to have befitted from a face-lift. The reception was welcoming and helpful and unlike other budget hotels appeared to be on duty quite late at night. As the name suggests it's right next to the station so handy for foot passengers. There is a Carrefour just over the road and many bars and restaurants close by. The town centre is 5 minutes walk. Free wi-fi in the room. Pl

I love this hotel, and their staff. Everyone is super helpful and the
rooms are very comfortable. The bathrooms are superb with a walk-in
shower, and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. I love the area
given over for breakfast, and any small pastries left over from
breakfast are put on a trolley in reception with a kettle and teabags
and coffe, and guests can help themselves for free during the day. It is
excellent.

I was going to arrive late, and I was called with the gate security
details and the room number. I arrived 15 minutes before lockup, and
everything was set for me to stay. I needed to leave very early the next
morning and again everything was smooth. I've used this hotel before
as a place to stay after a long journey before catching a eurostar, and
it's very convenient and used to travellers arriving late and

This hotel is the former George V hotel and is undergoing total renovation so it is a bit difficult to give a full opinion. Work was still going on in the corridors but our room (in the Superior Class) was very spacious and extremely well appointed except there was no mirror in the bedroom. Lovely towels and toiletries and extremely comfortable
