Convenient location and friendly staff on arrival. A welcome stop after a long drive - knew we would have a good standard of room ( in English terms)!. Easy parking. Close to some excellent restaurants. Convenient for port and Eurotunnel. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The curtains kept out the light and windows provided good sound insulation.Liked having a front facing room.

As I have a lung disease, it was fortunate I could go in the other booked room.Unfortunately, the road at the front of the hotel is used by car transporters going to and from the docks. Lots of empty, rattling transporters throughout the day and night if you have a front room. Parking and main entrance not particularly well signposted.Breakfast was too expensive. Cheaper to wait and get at tunnel terminal. dirty cups!. the food at dinner breakfast was nice though. The secure parking arrangements were not good. The beds and pillows were not very comfortable.The breakfast is expensive (did not take it). The toilet in the bathroom refused to flush half of the time. And the other half it only worked so and so. The breakfast was OK, but not super. Most of it was tasty, but some cooked things a bit less than that. And (as is often the case ...) the prices of the minibar drinks in the room are of the unshamed rip-off type ! The quality of the Pay-TV (especially the sound) was simply bad.The rooms were very hot. Would like free wireless access. Breakfast, very , very poor and little or no choice of products, Bathroom a bit small,. We got there late and the bar was shut staff man said that the law saidhe could not serve us after midnight. I don't know french law but thatseemed extraordinary to me.The parking. Compared to Hotels in Germany,it did not offer fair value-poky room,noisy plumbing. all of it. The breakfast buffet was not very good. The previous night we had stayed at another Holiday Inn (in Toulouse) and the hotels could not be more different.staff were very rude apart for the young lady who was on reception.
