  All we can say is "Wow"! We had 6 adults and 2 children under age 2 with us. The apartment at Malostranska Residence was over the top for what we were hoping for. We loved it! Advertised as room for 4 (2 double beds) we had come prepared with an air mattress for the other two adults but there were also two full size couches and a love seat. The weather was very wet and Nicole was so helpful in finding and booking suitable restaurant for us . The taxi transfer which she arranged was also first class and good value reliable .   After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

The hotel is small and very privates which is such a refreshing change from the big business hotels that feel cold and generic. We were also given a free book of things to see and do in Prague in either 3 hours or 3 days which came in very handy.   The charming hotel built in 1730 is extremely well located at the castle end of the famous Charles bridge just around the corner on a quiet side street.
