This gave me a chance to walk down the wonderful staircase admire th - Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi, also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day. As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn met those very well. The restaurant is excellent.   Good location on the edge of 'Chinatown'. Very spacious suite with a sofa bed in the main living area and a double bed upstairs in the mezzanine. Perfect for our family of four. Kids in bed upstairs and we could call room service from the restaurant downstairs - ideal. No breakfast during the week, but there is a kitchen in the apartments and some good coffee shops on the same street. Also a goo - we were in room 307 which was very nice. Hotel overall was comfortable except that the room was too warm. The small units in each level did not cool the room very well. Loved the Cask beer in the bar downstairs. Also liked the family room next to the bar - we had a group of 20 in there on Sunday night and it was excellent - staff were great.

  Loved it! Beautiful Victorian house, apartment was larger than expected, very quiet neighbourhood, kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed. There was a living room with cable tv, a small kitchenette with fridge, stove, and utensils (including a real cast-iron frying pan!), and a bathroom and bedroom. There is city-bus service just on the street in front of - We were a group of 14 people staying in this motel for one night. Everyone in the group was satisfied for the amount we paid. Despite some of the reviews we read before saying that there's a bad smell around, non of us had such an experience. Maybe we were lucky, or the problem has been solved somehow.   I was staying at the Inn at Laurel Point because of its convenient location. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the start line of the Victoria Marathon near the legislative buildings. The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout my whole stay. This included the front desk, cleaning staff, maintenance personnel and restaurant servers. I - The location was fantastic . We stayed in room 452,the new part of the hotel and the view of the marina from our balcony was amazing. The hotel is also close to the centre of Victoria. The room was large and the housekeeping was excellent. Staff were friendly,polite and helpful at all times. We had a nice lunch at Auroa restaurant which was reasonably priced,which included several coffee refills . Overall we had a very pleasant stay

  Strathcona Hotel fitted our budget perfectly. The room was small but clean and comfortable. On our first night there was a problem with the hot water not being very hot and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was quickly fixed.   We stayed for the main reason that it was so close to Save on Foods Memorial for a concert & was very pleasantly surprised of what a nice hotel it was. Our room had a king size bed & it was so comfy & the pillows were to die for comfortable!!!!! Had breakfast the following morning at "Kitty's" & it was very good food.   For the money what I had was literally a nice apartment. The tub was amazing with its relaxing jets but as a shower it stunk. It has a full kitchen with quality pots and dishes, not the usual hotel crud. You could easily make breakfast right there and enjoy it on the patio and watch the joggers jet or the sea planes land in the harbor. The breakfast coupon was great and we took full advantage of the dining room and enjoyed the hearty breakfast. The location was great as we just stepped out of the door, across to the leg for the Nov. 11 ceremony. When we asked for directions to another location we were given maps and clear instructions.
