  Great location for a hotel, right in the middle of downtown, near the shops and restaurants. Smaller hotel and great for your budget as it has the same amenities as other hotel just not as "fancy". There is free indoor parking just behind the hotel and if it is too busy, they have $5 parking underground. It was also affordable and in the center of town (I.E. very convenient/short walk to restaurants, laundromat, drugstore, parking garage, etc.). I also liked that there was a refrigerator in the room.

  My 83 year old mother and I were in Banff for my cousin's wedding at the Fairmont Hotel. We could not afford to stay at the Fairmont (even with a discounted room at $250 a night) and the y Mountain Lodge proved to be an excellent, economical choice for us.   We were upgraded to another suite on arrival and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fixtures, fittings and furniture in our suite. Every thing was immaculately clean and it provided everything that you could possibly need for a pleasant stay. It had tennis courts , basketball nets, a sauna, indoor pool and hot tub and also an outdo... what people say » or hot tub. We found all staff members to be pleasant and helpful and customer service oriented and this makes for happy customers. Good job everyone. - It was close to the town but was quiet and peaceful although there were plenty of amenities if you wanted to make use of them. It would be a great place for families and was comfortable and clean. The staff were great and really helpful we were missing out tv remote and a member of staff brought one straight away when we called the reception. Breakfast was tasty and again the staff were friendly and helpful.

  It was awesome place to travel alone in Banff Rockies. I met lots of people and we shared our informations. Location also nice to get to the main street (actually it was in the main st). I loved staff and breakfast!!! hot cakes!!!! thank~` - Really nice staff, always helpful with everything. $6 dinners and cheap drinks.You can just sit at the bar... what people say » all night and mingle and Sean is a really nice guy as well (the bar man)

  My lifestyle never changes. I can't stand the choreographed and artificial style of those so-called 5 star hotels which in my opinion should be inhabited by clowns, politicians, and other pretenders who do not know what value for money is. At the Banff International Hostel nobody salutes or bows at me. At the Banff International yo - We had an awesome stay at this hostel! The staff was very very kind and as it seems not to be too busy at the time we were traveling, they even offered us a bigger room, including bathroom and kitchen, for the same price! It was like an apartment and we felt very very comfortable. Breakfast was continental but not too bad to start the day. It wasn't too loud but there were still some people to talk to in the evening.   My wife and I travel yearly and Bumpers Inn has been truly the best motel we have stayed at. Lorna the front desk staff-whom I believe is the owner, is polite, professional and kind. We found her cleaning staff to be very friendly and approachable if you need supplies. We stayed in a spacious second floor room that had a vaulted ceiling and a door... what people say » to step out onto balcony overlooking the terrace. The fridge was quiet and the two windows could both be easily opened. When I initially looked at th - Best Price in Banff! The rooms are 2x the size of the Fairmont and 1/3 the price. Rooms are aged but its a motel/motor inn so if you want a hot tub, gym and a place for the kids while you nurse your hangover this is not your place. if you want a place that is banff budget and choose to spend your money on enjoying your stay while in banff (skiing, restaurants, child care, hot springs) than pay the 80$ and don't expect anything more than a spacious room to sleep while you explore the area. very
