We had an awesome stay at this hostel! The staff was very very kind and as it seems not to be too busy at the time we were traveling, they even offered us a bigger room, including bathroom and kitchen, for the same price! It was like an apartment and we felt very very comfortable. Breakfast was continental but not too bad to start the day. It wasn't too loud but there were still some people to talk to in the evening. Best Price in Banff!
The rooms are 2x the size of the Fairmont and 1/3 the price.
Rooms are aged but its a motel/motor inn so if you want a hot tub, gym and a place for the kids while you nurse your hangover this is not your place. if you want a place that is banff budget and choose to spend your money on enjoying your stay while in banff (skiing, restaurants, child care, hot springs) than pay the 80$ and don't expect anything more than a spacious room to sleep while you explore the area.

Given a guided tour on arrival. Can make tea/coffee as you want. My room was large, clean and comfortable. Wi-fi free and easily accessible. Staff lovely and helpful. Breakfast plentiful, organic, fresh and tasty. Gorgeous locally baked multi grain bread. Very relaxed. Enough car parking. Lovely surroundings at the edge of Bannf but just 5 minute walk to downtown shopping. Price reasonable for a tourist haven.
