  The hotel building is so lovely. All carved in wood, beautifully decorated. The pool is fantastic and the staff is absolutely adorable. The room on the other hand, very disappointing. But on the looks rather than anything. It was squeaky clean which is good enough for my but for the rate (for Cambodia it was an above average price) I was expecting... what people say » more. The bathroom (which is actually a wet room) could use some improvement. Nevertheless it had a very comfortable bed, great aircon an super clean - This place is a beautiful, spotlessly clean Khmer style luxury B & B. Beautiful rosewood furniture and carvings, white polished tile floors.The rooms are spacious with A/C & Fan, and fridge, lovely bed and furnishings. The staff are friendly and helpful for everything. Beautiful rooftop swimming pool with great food at the restaurant. Really cannot fault this place, I just got bored with the limited choice of breakfast (included in tariff) after a few days, but not a complaint.

  The staff was amazing. They helped us organize all of our activities by contacting the companies and also arranging transportation for us. There is a small pool that is perfect for an afternoon cool down and some relaxation. The roof top bar has a great view and the food is delicious, especially the breakfast. This is a perfect destination for people who don't want to spend too much money, - Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Very clean and tranquil, even if it is full booked. Great breakfast, good pool (a must if you go in summer). Also good and necessary drinking water every day. Location is good, close to Siem Reap center, but not so much so you can hear the noise. Good and cheap food options just a few steps from hotel. Highly recommended.

  We were very pleased to have booked a place in this little paradise. Set in a luxurious garden, the bungalow we had was perfect for our trip: a retreat to come back to after braving the heat at the temples or the bustle of the night markets and pub street. We have 3 young children and did not want to be in one of those huge impersonal hotels, nor near Pub Street. Very happy with the Pavillon Indochine; lovely breakfast, small & intimate, functional family room, very comfortable beds, friendly & helpful staff plus great value for money. It was great to come back from temple visits and relax. We ate at the hotel for 2 of our 3 nights; lovely Fish Amok and Lac Loc Beef. Everything you need... Just fabulous!

  We liked the hotel so much that we extended our stay. The city is great, Tuk-Tuk is arranged for you so you can visit all temples with a sunrise (the driver was waiting for us at 4.30 a.m.).   This hotel was right beside the night markets and pub street which was so handy. The hotel was clean and staff were nice. When you get to cambodia do not book a trip with one of the tuk tuks no matter how much they try to pressure you. One tried to charge us double what the hotel quoted us for angkor wat temples.   Jeff is a phenomenal host and provides an experience that is much more like staying with a friend or family member (without all the drama!) than any hotel that I have stayed at. We felt like we were cared for and he was solicitous and helpful in all of our interactions. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that he was a terrific host and is... what people say » in the right profession. He took over for the previous two owners, who are now back in Ireland due to health issues, and the property seems to be in - This was my best hotel experience ever! The owner, Jeff, met me personally as I arrived to offer a welcome drink and inquire about my plans. He helped me organize my whole stay according to my taste and his extremely well-informed insights about the area. The room was fantastic, shower great, breakfast was the stuff of dreams, and the whole hotel grounds are a small paradise on Earth. I wholeheatedly recommend Maison 557 and would certainly return should the opportunity arise. What a great plac
